We are landlocked in Tennessee; at the beach, the closest being 6 hours away, there are palm trees. It is the Gulf of Mexico.
We do have many different varieties of trees, such as maple, oak, cedar, and chestnut.
Our state tree is the Tulip Tree, which is also our state flower.
