AI Agents have been around for a while along with tons of AI style programs to build images, video and text. But agents are a bread of their own and their only getting better.
A recent Ai agent that really got the attention of the space was an AI agent that was actully built from a few agents that could talk to each other on the backend off of social media etc. It was given $50,000 worth of bitcoin and what happened next was the launch of a GOAT crypto token and a lot of reddit and social media posting cult like following later it because of first AI agent to generate a million dollars.
That started to get a lot of eye balls on it as giving a AI agent $50,000 and having it doing all of the work and turn it into over 1 million dollars is just wild! Of course that's going to spark a lot of interest into the space as people want money.
The idea now is to build AI agent tokens that can out beat the market and that's exactly what's happening.
Hedge Funds
One idea that's currently in the works is for investors to invest into a DAO and then the AI agents act as hedge fund managers of the tokens to build wealth.
The AI agent simply makes investment decisions and runs the entire DAO money with a goal in mind to make as much money as possible for its investors.
A big bonus of this is it also gives every day people the access to something like accredited investors get. That to me in the biggest plus as it gives more people access to investment vehicles to improve their wealth that is normally limited to a few million people. Things like hedge funds, private equity and venture capital.
Now there's not enough information yet about these hedge fund AI agents so it's high risk for sure. The AI could just go bonkers and sell everything and tank it to zero. Or it could do very well. Some of the key factors that people are looking into or at least I find interesting is if a AI agent that's on 24/7 do better than a human investor. Does a AI agent actully have an advantage being able to trade 24/7 and spot early potential investments that you might miss sleeping or having to spend time researching yourself before hitting that buy button.
But then again a part of me does not want to live in a world where people are just dumping funds into AI agents and they just battle it out. I feel like that leads down a road of something that ends very badly.
Companies Are Getting Involved
We are also starting to see companies like Coinbase and Circle looking for people to come develop AI agents with them. This could open up a full new sector of development and money making within these platforms.
The scary part about all of this however is it's mainly fueling the wealthy to become more wealthy again and people who don't understand AI agents or have the means to bring in people to code for them pretty much out of the picture while bitcoin was suppose to be more of an even playing field and a way to get back at the corrupt government.
A few ideas on this if you wanted to become a developer however would be AI DEX trading, AI agents as advisors so instead of the AI agent actully making the trade it comes back to AI agents finding opportunities and then simply presenting them to you to make the final decision. Another aspect of this would be to advance the AI even more to provide information on why it found this item to be a good investment and present a snippet of info for a quick read and resources so you can quickly manual check its work. I think this will be where the big value comes in. I've actully seen this a bit already happening on platforms like Stash which have been building AI type systems that will invest for you based on your style.
