Consensus 2023 Is Almost Here

It feels like events like this around crypto were all the rage for a while during the last bull run even during lockdowns. However I always looked at them as a perfect spot for people to get arrested based on crypto lol

Consensus is one of the larger events and it will be taking place from April 26 to the 28th in Austin Texas.

I'll be honest with you I've gone to my fair share of events and I'm pretty over them. They are great with a group of friends and if you have somewhat of a mission or person/ persons you want to meet up with and chat with but for the overall aspect of it I've found watching it live from home to be just as good if not better. However maybe I'm just old or I've gone to too many that I can't care much for the vibe anymore lol.

Have you been to a crypto event? If so what one and what were your honest thoughts on it? Good or bad what did you like the most or what did you wish it would of had?

What Might Come Out Of Consensus

I look at these events also however with a positive vibe as it shows people coming together and giving real legitimacy to crypto and blockchain and how the USA needs to clearly start to be better at accepting it over constantly attacking it and driving it away. The USA right now is doing a great job at isolating itself from the world and you know how that turns out? BAD lol

It's clear one big focus area will be on the regulation and battles about regulation going on right now. I suspect this being one of the central points of talking points. On that topic we see the world warming up to investing, policymaking, building and educating people on crypto and blockchain that adoption and being on the forefront of it all makes more sense then trying to constantly attack it. A lesson the USA is going to need to start learning very quickly!

This will also start to loop in how the traditional finance world will interact and react to crypto and blockchain and touch base with CBDCs.

Overall it seems like everyone is clear they want solid regulations in place so that random attacks stop happening and instead development and growth can start without being hindered as it has been for so long.

Growth and Foundations

Another aspect that often comes out of these events are startups and with VC's and banks based around VC's recently getting slammed I often wonder if instead some form of crypto will take it's place that's more secure and robust then even the banks. It's possible seriously possible and it's not sexy and it's boring AF. However if someone would just do it we would be in a much better place right now.

This growth area should also be focuses not only on finances like above but also web3 tech and what the future of web3 will look like. I have a strong feeling a vast majority of it will be larger companies and NFT based without actully calling it NFTs or Web3 because both of those now have a bad taste in everyone's mouth from all the scams and get rich schemes that did in fact go on.

Overall it will be exciting to see what comes out of this event and what new projects are being worked on. I feel like it's been a long while since we have seen major development from big players and how it will help crypto. This should start to give us some insight into all of it.
