Splinterlands is an online collectible card game using the blockchain technology. Every user will need cards to play the game, these cards or assets are NFTs (Non-Fungible Token) which can be traded. These cards is used to play against other players. Now every card will have the unique ability and they are divided between Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary. The more the ability, the more it can help you to win the games and the more expensive it becomes.
Before starting my post, I would like to express my excitement where first time I have reached Gold 1. And hopefully it remains in Gold 1 at the end of the season too. I am not targeting Diamond 3 as it might be too tough, but keeping myself in Gold 1 would be a tough fight from now on. I am playing with the bug guys who have 3, 4, 5 even 8 level monsters. But even though I am losing, I am able to win some which is keeping my rating above Gold 1.
So what's the secret now, the secret is having good Neutral monsters in your lineup. As you all know that we have 5 elements (Fire, Water, Earth, Life and Death) and then we have Dragon which along with its monsters can use any of the above mentioned 5 element monsters. And at the last we have Neutral monsters which are not part of any of the Elements or Dragon Summoner but can be used across any Summoner. So that means if I have a good Neutral monsters, I can use it with the Fire Summoner or Earth Summoner or any other summoner.
This is why having some good Neutral monsters are quite important for the setup. And then there are Neutral Only monsters match where you have to field only the neutral monsters. Some of monsters I like and used in the past are

The monsters adjacent to this monsters will gain Magic attack if they don't have any attack of their own. So both adjacent monsters will get upto 3 magic attacks which is quite good |
| Disintegrator |  | This is again my goto card when there is Melee only attack or if I have to reduce the melee attack from my monsters. This card reduces the Melee attack of all the opponent units by 1. And this is mostly helpful in case of tight games |
| War Chang |  | With 2 Melee attack and 1 Ranged attack, this card is perfect when there is only Melee attack scenario or only ranged attack scenario, it can play in both the games. And don't forget it's ability to retaliate which gives an extra attack to the opponents monsters |
| Xenith Monk |  | This is I guess one of the go to cards when we have 4 Level Mana cap scenario. This provides us the heal ability and thus is quite useful in the games where you have to play with only 4 Mana cards. |
Though there are other monsters too which I use, but these are the top ones which is actually stays in my lineup for most of the time. Using this card gives us that extra advantage and whenever I look for adding any new cards in my lineup, I mostly search for the Neutral cards only. The neutral cards gives us that advantage of playing it with any elements and thus helpful in every game.
