TON Blockchain is the most hyped Blockchain these days due to the telegram mini apps launching on it with the earning concept of "Tap to Earn". These mini apps claims to onboard millions of users to cryptocurrency which sounds interesting and good for the cryptocurrency ecosystem but indeed these apps are spoiling crypto ecosystem indeed.
TON blockchain was dead at one point but with these new mini apps it got a new life. It would be interesting to see that how long does it survive through these apps which are using huge user base for just their own benefits.
Tap to earn Mini apps such as Hamster Kombat and Catizen has spoiled the name of TON ecosystem. These apps promised users biggest airdrops for playing games and doing simple tasks. These all mini apps used the same strategy to deceive their huge user base.
All mini apps ask users to watch videos on their youtube channel in return they promise coins on which the airdrop will depend. Similarly , they ask users to engage with all their social channel to get traffic. They earned millions of dollars through this traffic but upon TGE they distributed only $5 to $10 to each user for the hard work of 3 to 6 months.
Now the Hamster Kombat community is crying who were promised biggest airdrop in crypto history. To be honest, i would not blame any project as its the foolishness of users. But keeping in mind the fact that the users who were involved in mining with these apps were newbies who actually dont know much about the facts, we cannot cannot blame them either.
The majority of People who are farming these types of airdrops are actually web2 users who were promised free money. They were promised good amount of dollars which they dont see coming now which is why everyone is crying now. The developers keeping the majority of tokens to themselves or the people close to them i.e , the youtubers who helped them spread their business.
This does not stop here, all centralized exchanges seems to be supporting such projects who are not loyal with their own communities. Even Binance which is the largest cryptocurrency exchange supports liers. Why would they speak on it when it helps them to grow their business.
If you look at social platform X, hashtag bycotthamsterkombat is trending. Users claim that they were promised biggest airdrop but in actual they got peanuts so they running this hashtag to put pressure on the developers who are playing with their community.
If you promise something with the community then make sure you complete your promise or better dont do fake promises. If you dont have guts then its better to dont disappoint community with the fake hopes.
I would advise to the newbies that stay away from these apps and find better source of income. And if you want to try these apps then dont have high hopes as they will make you disappoint because these app owners are just using people for their own benefits.
