After the bull run of 2018 and the bear market of 2019, an indicator namely Pi-cycle top indicator was designed to identify the top of the next bull market. Why is it called Pi? Well the ratio of the moving averages along with a multiplication factor gives out a value pretty close to 3.14.
Following how close the Pi-cycle top indicator was, some math-crypto-enthusiasts reverse engineered the top indicator to build a Pi-cycle bottom indicator as well. Unsurprisingly, the bottom indicator was also able to signal past bottoms.
The top indicator worked quite well up until 2021 and received enormous praise in the crypto community. However, its glory went away fairly quick as BTC broke its previous high and made an all time high (ATH) undetected by the Pi-cycle indicator. Next began the bear market of 2022 and focus shifted towards the Pi-cycle bottom indicator. The bottom was signaled at around 19K for bitcoin. A number of crypto analysts believed that the Pi-cycle bottom will hold just like it did in the past. Sadly, early this month (Nov'22 ) the price went further below the bottom price causing the failure of the Pi-cycle bottom indicator.

Eine Reihe von Kryptoanalysten glaubte, dass der Pi-Cycle-Tiefpunkt genau wie in der Vergangenheit Bestand haben würde. Leider fiel der Preis Anfang dieses Monats (22. November) weiter unter den Tiefstpreis, was zum Scheitern des Pi-Cycle Bottom Indikators führte.
