These HIVE bags are getting heavy 💰
I spent $900 for 7,400 HIVE back on Jan 8th, 2021. I only lost about $12 in fees that night. That very same 7,400 HIVE is now worth just over $11,000. That is approximately 12x in value.
On top of that, I have consistently been earning 250+ HIVE per week by curating and authoring posts. 50% of my author rewards are also paid out to me in the form of HBD which typically values right around $1, although lately a few cents below that.
It has been 44 weeks since I purchased the HIVE last January. That means I have earned somewhere in the ballpark of 11,000 HIVE through curation/posting. Combine that with the 7,400 HIVE from January and that equals 18,400 HIVE. I also spent the majority of my HBD purchasing more HIVE. That means I certainly stacked up at least 20,000+ HIVE this year. Even more than I accumulated over the previous 4 years since I began my journey in December of 2017.
I did this all by simply using Hive and the plethora of applications that are built on this blockchain. I didn't spend my free time trading crypto or stressing out. Instead, I casually kept grinding what I love doing and the rest has happened on its own.
I am truly blessed to have something consistent that I enjoy doing daily. My upvote is handing out rewards upwards of $175 weekly to people other than myself. Seeing so many human beings on Hive work together or even solo to become successful really is a sight to behold.
HIVE has been holding above $1 for almost a week now.
My account has surpassed a total value of $100,000.
I'm getting closer to 75,000 HP.
All of the things I visualized happening in the past are starting to materialize more and more each day.

Bloggers on Hive have known for some time that it was a good investment - it just takes some time to grow into it's own skin. Hive @ almost a buck fifty and this is only the beginning!
A lot of us here know what we have is massive. Many have yet to create their first Hive account still, they will come. There are active accounts today that even now are not fully aware of what exactly they are involved with. We are tremendously early on still, the growth is inevitable.

That's for sure. Many probably don't remember, but HIVE was in the top 40 when we first forked. If we jump back to just the top 100 (looks like we are headed Theresa we just pushed through the top 200 again), then our total market cap would have to be over 1 Billion with a price over $2. Imagine we get back in the top 40 and market cap soars past 6 Billion. We could easily see HIVE over $10 before the years end. Especially with two major airdrops coming during the first week of January.
Sadly I was not buying back then. I wish I had been now. I don't think it isn't that I didn't have the funds either. That is what kind of kills me. Congrats on your investment! $900 well spent!

I very rarely spend fiat on crypto. It's just been easier for me to keep the two separate and earn the majority of my crypto from blogging. Something told me to go to the CoinFlip ATM that night and I’m glad I did. I should have purchased more, but that was the limit on the ATM.
I have some monthly buys set up in Coinbase but pretty much everything else comes from blogging or my other crypto investments.

If I had more fiat available, then I would do the same. Sadly the combination of my current lifestyle and pay scale doesn’t really support me purchasing crypto. I’m sure I’d find a way to make it happen if I didn’t have a solid outlet for earning it. I am blessed to have this opportunity.
If only more people stayed consistent. Thankfully this time around there are many more which means a lot more stake distributed widely.
It’s payed off big time for me. I imagine some have been watching and may finally begin to understand just how big this opportunity to get involved for the long term is.
Staying on track for any goal or task isn’t not easy. Especially something as foreign as Hive, but anything can be learned with valiant efforts.

That's so true. I'm beginning to create content and engage more as my classes are winding down, and I'm not currently working. That was always the problem before. I would love to be a whale someday, so that I could finally make a meaningful stake in new projects, as well as help out new Hivers. I can still remember getting my first big upvote back in 2017. It came at just the right time, and spurred me on during a rough patch. What's that old saying? "A rising tide lifts all boats"
Creating and engaging is so much more productive than not doing either at all. I think that pretty much any goal once firmly set is truly obtainable. Some will take more time and luck than others, but some things are unstoppable.
It does feel good to be able to reward others for their efforts without even losing anything. It's actually pretty incredible.

Seems like it was just yesterday… however, I think that we can agree that so much has happened since then. Glad you not only stayed around, but also got more heavily involved and have found some success.

Consistency throughout both bull and bear cycles does eventually pay off.
Hive is just getting started. Some other options could provided even better returns by now. I think even further long term will result in greater growth with Hive.

It seems like we both have kept the same positive outlook in our mind's eye. Even during the time of lower success and activity on Hive, I still reminded myself that our future here is bright.

You and I were certainly on the same page around that time. I picked up 10,000 Hive at 10 cents. It was shortly after I saw bitcoin make a solid move above 10k that is when I knew HIVE was at or near bottom.
Now the question is where do you sell? and how high will the price go?
