Staying in an economy that is full of surprises can be disheartening. You just have to cope overtime, over here the 'get back to your drawing board' is becoming a routine. prices of goods and services changes at the blink of an eye and you will be scrambling back again to meet up. Alright dani, the economy is tightening everywhere. I know, but that of Nigeria is in the list of what I will call 'wild wild West'. I am becoming more of a talkative. It feels good to be back writing after 5 days.

I was so exhausted this Christmas season with customer demand that Ihad to take a two day general break from ALL round work. Before I knew it I saw myself 5 days off writing. I missed some chances of getting some bucks, although I was peeping in daily to do some Threads. My phone gave me some headache within those few days so I was like; maybe we are both exhausted. This is why I always want to write daily, just get that article out and stay motivated.

Ok let's hang it there, back to business of the day. I had a failed transaction or negotiation if I should say. What can you say if an economy is 400x in cost of things with no signs yet of a decline. It keeps topping, it is this topping that always wants to draw me to the table of depression. Hahaha, I knock it off and go again. Adjusting oneself to fit in is the real definition of adaptation. There is nothing bad in planning yet do not put all hopes, anything is possible.

As an entrepreneur, one of the things that makes you feel unhappy is an unmet target. As I said, the drawing board again. Ok, so how did I get here? As usual, I planned to put in a new machine into our office to promote our brand. I am working on the possible ways to incorporate a business that will stand the test of time. expenses have been on the high, from home to office, the money must be sent out. The advantage of business expenses is that it always gives rooms to income, nevertheless, staying healthy is mandatory, this is something you should not take for granted.

I can remember how much I had to spend on the recent contract; from rise in material cost to time, energy, man power and so many unforeseen circumstances. I ended up not putting much into the company's pause. Ahh! Dani, how did you miss it? My hopes were really high on this but what can I do now? I promised I will put in a lot of effort to bring in a new machine, it was more of a personal task since I am the one managing the business in entirety. Not that the machine was costing much by then, it was around N250,000 (around $185 dollars). Saving money to get this done took some time since I have so many things to work on still with money in our daily businessing.

So finally I got close to that figure and boom!!!, it happened. What happened? Have I purchased the machine? No, negotiations failed. I was expecting it anyway but not this high, the price of the machine has kicked to N400,000 (around $300 dollars) after a few months. I am left scrambling because that machine is a must need to resume 2025 in grand style. My co-partner is just waiting expectantly for that machine. Of course I have discussed with him about the price change and his feedback was, 'it can be bought if we want to'. An encouraging one I must add, yet it will be left for me to sought it out.

I have to go again, there are a lot of things to fix in the office. Making our business stand out as a brand comes with a lot of demands. Irrespective of the economy, we have to prepare ourselves for opportunities. I am planning of putting a lot of money into branding by net next year so I really needed to put this particular demand to bed once and for all. Aside from price, I am also having a challenge of a verifiable source. It seems big companies have closed for the year, this was a feedback I got from a friend dealing in that field. As we speak, I am not too sure if N400K will do, what if it kicks up again by January? We will go again.

To conclude, let me add, most times things don't work out as expected. I really have to find ways to solve this pending negotiations, first will be to find that reputable source for a fixed price and the money for the purchase will be sourced. I believe I still have time, miracles will happen within the remaining days of this year. Our office is open for business and that one off contract that will summarize the year must show up (speaking from the standpoint of faith here). This negotiation cannot remain failed.
