Finance Track Tools: My App in Finance Tracking

I always wanted to build an app. But the past the life was not easy as it is today. Things were so unsure and marketing even more harder.

In fact even if I had this app during pandemic and other seasons it would have hurt the marketing efforts. And I would have barely able to update it. Things were slow and difficult for me in development.

But in 2025 you have Cursor and Gemini AI and which makes coding lot easier. Like you type the concept and then let the AI work on the PRD and the prompt.

One step at a time each screen was being built.

This is the app graphic I made.

And then I moved onto the icon.

In past I setup the finance track tools website related to the app way before the app was even created in the first place. I made use of the cursor AI tool along with Gemini 2.5 API which offers few tokens free per day to use.

Each day I was building something. And the app finally got built. It had some of the nice screens in the mobile app.

So the app has like three big sections: Tools, Planner and Trackers. Tools are basically those which are specific to pointing you how the tool would show the price for the tool.

Then comes the planner section and it has some of the planner tools which would make it easier for the percentage based calculations like say mortgage and similar other planners.

Finally I made the trackers be it like Stripe fee tracker or the Paypal fee tracker. All of those trackers I had in mind I am putting them up on the app one by one. It would take a bit of effort to get the final product out.

So the app is up. And so does the website.

The next goal is getting that traffic, getting that SEO up and getting everything in order getting humans to interact with the app and website.

One year from now let's see where we stand. Till then let me document my journey with building apps in the finance domain.
