dCity: Future Goals to Make the Game Worthwhile?!

in LeoFinance3 years ago

dCity is one of those play-to-earn, blockchain-based games I am excited about for 2 reasons:

  1. Semi-passive gameplay: The game does not require playing for long hours. You can optimize your city with just a few hours per week.
  2. Passive income: You can end up earning quite a bit of passive income if you do things the right way.

The only drawback is: The passive income is tiny at the start, although it can increase significantly within a few years.

I'd like to share my plans and goals for the next few months. Perhaps it'll be an inspiration for you.

My dCity is small, and I am a beginner. If you have any comments or you'd like to add anything else, leave me a comment below.

My main goal is to accumulate enough SIM power to generate at least ~25 Hive per day?

Is that even possible? I actually don't know. I did my numbers though.

Now, as of today, I have this much SIM power (image below). This figure is growing at a rate of 2000 SP per day.

It's not much, but it gives me this much Hive per day (SIM holding rewards):

The previous payment was this:

As you can see, my Hive rewards keep climbing; although I'm not sure what will happen when APY goes 0.00.

So, my assumptions are these:

  • I keep growing at 2000 SIM Power per day; given that I'll also invest more of my own money in the game plus into the SWAP.HIVE:SIM liquidity pool.
  • SIM holding rewards will keep growing at the same rate of 2000/day (images above)
  • They keep dropping those sweet SIM holding rewards (Hive), which I'll continue to re-invest.
  • All other conditions remain equal (again, I don't know what will happen if APY goes to 0.00)

If these 👆 assumptions turn out to be true, these are my predictions:

So, as you can see from the image above:

  1. The first good (tiny) target is 1M SIM power: This would be ~3 Hives/day or 90 Hives/month. It'll take a little less than 18 months.
  2. The second good target is 10M SIM power: This would be ~30 Hives/day or 900 Hives/month. It'll take a little less than 165 months.
  3. The real target would be 30M Sim power: This would be ~90 Hives/day or 2700 Hives/month. But, it'll take too long...

I know, this is kind of dumb! Getting to 10M SIM power will take years, unless I can find a way to increase the 2K/day rate I mentioned above.

If I can grow at, say, 10K per day I'll get there faster, right?!

Last week @brofund posted this article explaining how much they're making in their city. The city by @brofund has 1.5M SIM power and gets 3.8 Hives/day.

So, we can assume my numbers in the table above are correct.

However, again, getting to 10M or 30M SIM power seems an impossible proposition. It'll take too long.

I'll be a toothless, old man by then 👴😁

Thus, my final questions are:

  • Do you know if there are ways to accelerate things?
  • Are there ways to accumulate SIM power faster?

Drop a comment below and let me know.

This is a good plan, only that you need to have in mind that as you grow also the others grow. I am averaging around 0.35 HIVE per day for some time even if I am growing my SIM power, probably because the reward share % is quite the same. I am very passive, didn't optimize anything in the game for a long time so probably there is where it can make a difference.

@behiver yes that makes sense. I'll keep working on my city and see how things evolve.

I'm a casual gamer and I feel third edition made things more difficult. I'm just collecting what I can from this game. I feel I'm earning much more through splinterlands.

Yes, Splinterlands right now is generating more. But it won't last forever. Better to have your hands in multiple pies in the long run.
