When it comes to acquiring wealth there seems to be a different mindset that happens between the poor and the rich people that favours one than the other. A good example happens to be how we make use of the wealth that will determine if it will change one's lifestyle or financial situation.
One thing we need to understand is that the rich thinks about production while the poor thinks about consumption. The mindset of both the rich and poor helps in changing situations but one have a better advantage than the other. The rich people as we know are living comfortably as they are in the position to cater for every of their needs without bothering much so instead they focus more on production on how they can grow their wealth more.
While the poor people with a different mindset focus mostly on consumption. In most cases we really can't blame them for their actions due to so many things they lack and the struggles they've been through that hinders most of them to engage more on consumption than production.
There are situations where we see people who are opportuned to secure wealth but later end up losing it. This doesn't mean they don't have the mindset of production but because they focus more on consumption where they live a life that is more than their means. When you find yourself in a situation where money only goes out without any coming in will definitely bring ones financial lifestyle down.
People who are poor and lacks the orientation of growing wealth will find it difficult to maintain wealth. The reason is they focus more on living a life that will surpass their past lifestyle by acquiring things they lack and probably live a luxury life. That however isn't a bad mindset because no one wants to live a life of struggle or hardship but then is it favourable without an income to back it up?
The answer is No, which is why it is good to associate with those who have experience and are doing fine in stuffs they do in other to learn one or two from them to progress. The truth is if everyone is giving a huge some of money to start a life like $1 million dollars for example, in a couple of years those who are productive in what they do will still be making progress while those who focus more on consumption will go back to their previous state.
Maintaining wealth is not an easy thing to do neither is it a day job but a continuous progress in achieving results. There are some certain sacrifices one need to take if throughly we want to secure wealth and of of those sacrifices is saving. This will surely work out for those who are productive because that shows they are making progress in what they do and at the end of it they can analysis how much profit they are making.
Unlike those who focus on consumption will find it difficult to save and when saving becomes an issue, maintaining wealth becomes a problem because things that aren't needed will be spent on which is dangerous in securing it maintaining wealth.
However we can't do without consumption we need to understand that but what we should be mindful is the income and outcome of how money is spent on things that will be favourable to us. When they say the rich are getting richer is because they focus more on production and accumulating more wealth so for situations and things to change we need to adapt to a mindset of production to secure a better financial lifestyle.

I can believe with you that poor poeple lacks many things which they will like to acquire if they have the opportunity to hit money while the rich have it all. In other to focus on production instead of consumption, one needs to get only things that are important or useful not everything found in the market
That's the main fact behind it the rich have it all to focus on production while the poor consume due to things they lack.
