Objective 1 Million USD - My 2021 Master Plan

in LeoFinance3 years ago (edited)

Hey everyone, hope you're doing great the first hours/days of the year.

This is my entry for the 2021 finance goals Initiative from @theycallmedan & @leofinance. It's also my first post of the year so what better reason to start than this one.

Let's get down to business.

1M USD.png

First, let's make a 2020 recap

The year started in a shitty way; I got fired out from a shitty job where I had a shitty wage because my shitty boss didn't want to increase my monthly payment by ~150€ (He was legally entitled after 1 year of slavery rights on me).

I was working +40 weekly hours (not counting 1h of daily commuting), for a semi-high 'qualified job' in the sanitary field, for a little over ~800€/month. Approx ~5,22€/hour if you ask me. Violence if you keep asking me. Back in time had to take the job to face some expenses after being full broke in 2018.

It wasn't much but enough to cover my low expenses, at least. (no debt, no luxury vices, no smoking, low time preference.)

Then suddenly I got fired and got locked at home. I got a monthly paycheck from unemployment services for ~8 months that granted me lots of time to study. So what at first seemed like a fucked up personal disaster, ended up being a blessing in disguise.

prison.jpg

Need to mention that I have been accumulating alts since 2018 (Investing since 2012, involved in crypto since 2015; started to take things more seriously in 2017.)

I found in a situation where I had the time, the money and an enforced lockdown.

What a better time to level up your trading/investing game? The perfect storm was brewing when all the fucked up governments started printing in an irresponsible way (as if they hadn't been doing it before!).

If you have been reading me previously, you already know this but...

I'm an altcoin player.

One of those shitty ones that held 0 Bitcoin until December.

One of those that love to dig in the mud searching for little brilliant rocks (we call them gems) and we polish it in expectation of insane returns.

For this 'apparently simple' labour, you need a lot of study hours at your shoulders, a lot of emotional strength and most importantly; patience. Also some spare money to invest.

The upside from this job is that when you're right you kill it. I mean. Seriously. This is how the really big gains are made.

And the downside? You have to make all the work upfront (research, invest, optimize, rebalance...etc). And the uncertainty. You're always dealing with a (sometimes overwhelming) anxiety.

2020 has been a killing year for me financially. I made several killing plays which have left me with brutal returns over the months. Just to name a few:

I ride AVA from as low as 0,07$ up to 2$.

avaplay.png

I also rode ORN from 2,2$ up to 6$ (In fact I started that huge daily candle swallowing all the ORN's at resistance).

ornplay.png

I keep riding the last summer hype, and bought YFI for 14K$ and sold it for 33K$.

yfiplay.png

Did I need to even mention LEO?

I bought some LEO for 0,003$ back in the day. And I'm here since day one.

I recognise that LEO was something unexpected at the beginning, but I would have sold ages ago If I wouldn't have perceived 'some value' around at the time.

Glad that I stuck to this place :) (not to mention the connections that I did in the path).

Looking at 2021 - Objective 1 Million USD

I always take privacy as something very 'private' (sorry for the redundancy), but if I'm talking about '1 Million USD' I need to disclose some numbers.

My current HIVE & LEO value is around ~30K$ (LEO + LEOM + HIVE).
If you looked at my account closely, you might notice that I 'cashed out' ~60K LEO at an average price of 0,25$/LEO in the three couple of weeks.

Don't get me wrong, I'm in love with LEO, but my 'rules' forced me to realize some earnings as I wasn't unable to rebalance my portfolio in a healthy way without selling some. I felt that 'anxiety' that you feel when you're overexposed to something.

Taking into consideration this last movement, I'll only say that I'm starting out this year with over 50K$ invested in cryptocurrencies.

My current performance looks like this for 2020:

wealth2020.png

And if everything goes as expected my plan is to be well over 1,000.000$ sometime this year. I don't know when, of course. It all depends on 'wen alt season' and If I'm able to ride it in an efficient way.

I have a particular way of trading which worked well so far both fundamentally and TA wise, and I'll try to keep doing my best in that field.

I've also been thinking lately about launching a personal initiative like SPI/LBI but with a 'pegged token' linked to my trading performance. I'll have to run some numbers and sort some things before. But could be pretty interesting. (How does it sound in your eyes as a reader, would you invest into me?).

My Personal Mantra:

My investment strategy could be summed up in a single sentence:

'Invest in undervalued working products with generating revenue that you're able to understand and use.'

And I can tell you at least about three: Travala ($AVA), Orion Protocol ($ORN) and of course LeoFinance ($LEO).

I can almost guarantee (I'm putting my money in) that you don't need anything more to be successful (financially speaking) this year.

You don't need to overcomplicate things. Stick to hardworking teams which don't stop to buidl. Of course, don't forget to keep healthy positions in $BTC and $ETH (and I should be applying this last tip also to myself).

You should also learn how to take profits and how to average in/out positions.

It's also recommended that you take some of your time to study to keep you updated with the latest trends and to keep a low time preference.

For example, you might think that (because I amassed a decent amount of wealth) I wear very expensive clothes and drive a fancy car.

Far from reality. I didn't change my mobile phone in 3 years and my car sucks because it is like a barbie one (not pink or a fiat one, but very similar in overall appearance).

image.png

So, remember... If you see around a long light-brown hair dude driving a 'barbie car'... watch out! because maybe it's your lovely author empoderat from the leofinance fam.

Point is, some of my friends keep complaining about their stupid boss and their messed up finances while driving a 'top tier car' purchased with a ~20K$ loan or a 1000$ phone paid monthly with interest.

I'm in that position because I understood early how to make money to work for me and not the other way around.

Some of my friends still refuse to learn about Bitcoin. Well. Don't be like some of my friends.

I'm around chilling with the peace of mind that 'If' I play my cards 'decently' this year, might don't need to work for the dreams of another one ever again.

Don't get me wrong. It's very different to work 'because you have to' or to work because you 'really love what you do'.

Price Predictions for 2021

All this quackery is great, but a shilling post isn't great without their doses of price prediction, let's make a few!

''Yeah empo, STFU and tell us about price predictions''

Yeah, here we go. This is my (conservative) price predictions for these assets AT SOME POINT in 2021.

Remember; Not today, not tomorrow (don't have a clue), not next tuesday, not next summer. I DON'T KNOW. This is not financial advice and all that stuff, don't go full YOLO Bitmex degen mode x100 leverage

Bitcoin $BTC: 150K$
Ethereum $ETH: 5000$
LeoFinance token $LEO: 10$
Hive $HIVE: 3$
Travala token $AVA: 10$
Orion Protocol $ORN: 20$
Ripple $XRP: 0$

In Conclusion

Number. Go. Up.

One Last thing

I've noticed that this initiative has attached a few prizes in HIVE and LEO.

I would like to say in advance that if any of the judges consider my post 'good enough' to be eligible for one of those prizes (such an honour btw, you'll make my day),

I'll GIVEAWAY all the prize for other users who I think need it more.

This network gave me already a lot and (up to) ~500 HIVE/250 LEO doesn't make any difference for me.

Just to let you know :)

Ah, and if you read until this point. Thank you and hope you've enjoyed the read. Hope you all enjoyed a lot the past Christmas and 2021 started in the best way possible.

Best of success.

Happy to stumble with your blog through the recommendation of taskmaster4450. Though I am already closed to 5 months studying crypto, I still feel lost as to my financial goals. There are days too that I don't have any motivation to write any content. Reading your article somehow gave me an idea or a model to follow. Just want to say "Thank you!"

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The pleasure is mine.

If you need a plan I can give you a few insights.

  • Don't focus on 'whole big numbers', keep it realistic and achievable. Have 1000$ Try to raise this amount up to 1500$ in 3 months and keep it as a little challenge. It's irrelevant to say u have a goal of 10.000$ if ure starting out from 0$.

  • Keep expenses low. You can't save and invest with hundreds of dollars of subscriptions in expenses and use all your free time to party hard. Remember, there's time for everything if you organize urself.

  • Little amounts add up, don't underestimate them. 1$ while you sleep is better than 5$ for an hour of your time. If you're not sure in what to invest and how to do it, keep it easy with the basics. Stack BTC, some ETH and some stablecoins like USDT/USDC or even HBD. You can easily get a 10% APR on them (cough cough, HBD!) without much of a hassle.

  • Show up every day, you don't have to make very big progress every day, but if you only show up you'll have more than half of the work done. If it serves as a reference, I studied economics in my free time and invested in things for almost no return (I only collected losses) for over 3 years in the beginning. Don't be so harsh with yourself. If you fail, you learn.

  • Connections, never forget about connections and the whole trip you're doing there. Be kind to others, take your time to teach and guide others. I try to help whenever I can because somebody helped me back in the day.

  • Take care of your body, physically and spiritually. If you're not in a good mood, refuse to make financial decisions.

As a whole, this would be a great starting point.

Best of luck!

Many thanks for these insights! They're very practical and sound!

Grace and peace!

Of course I enjoyed the post, the graphics are amazing and accompany your exhibition masterfully. You are an example to follow, the transition from being an ordinary employee to working on the web is a dream for many, including me. I had already heard the phrase "putting money to work", you made me remember it in a good moment. I consider your publication as a gift, thank you.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Randomly upvoted with 100% power :)

I never stopped being an 'ordinary employee' and I always try to stay as humble as possible. Someone said me once: 'Don't work hard, work smarter'.

Always remember that all the actions in life have an intrinsic 'opportunity cost'. Either in time, money, or effort (usually a combination).

Try to find the mix that suits you.

All the best!

Very nice and good luck! An very nice position, and financial freedom at hand!

Im still hodling those hives!

Mr. ex-President! Glad to see you there. Happy new year!

I have to make peace with Hive, I sold most of my investment the previous months (from a high of 70K Hive power). @resiliencia is slowly convincing me to buy back at least part of my old stake.

I'll have to make a move soon or later...

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Just a little bit more buddy! 😉

I love your confidence and study approach.

I have only one question.

Your buying decision are based on projects fundamentals only or couple by some TA reports too.

Everyone in their life want to have 1 million USD for living but I've never saw a person that talks with a lot of facts to achieve it, I think that this is the firs possibility for you to make it! I trust you and I'm not even know you, but I feel the passion that you have and I'm really sorry for your "lovely" boss but not so much, because if you hadn't had that boss, you wouldn't have risked getting out of there (of course with the excellent chance that Hive was born plus the experience you already had in Alts).

I think that everything is possible if you dream and keep fighting for it and you're showing us that you'll be the first in the battle this year!

So let's go brother! You will achieve it and then that Barbie car will have a better driver sitted in front lol.

Good vibes and blessings from Caracas, Venezuela for you!

¡Oh!

Sigamos creciendo.

Amen !
THAT is something everyone should read, and read again till it’s perfectly clear in their mind.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This is why we are there, right?

Not sure if I saw you before on my comment section. Take a little welcome gift. Pick a sit, make yourself comfortable :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Absolutely !
You're right that's my first comment on one of your post, I'm barely 3 weeks old on Hive/Leo, I'm settling in.
Thanks a lot for the substantial welcome gift :)

20x returns for 2021 I like your vision and believe you of all people can do it. I love your down to earth story which tells me a lot about you and this is why I believe if anyone can do this you can. Finding some gems is something I need to do and get involved more. Loved your post and genuinely the best one I have read so far.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Buddy, you made me blush! 100% 'randomly' upvoted for the colours.

This.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It is true though as you know what you are doing and have a plan that you understand which is all that matters. It is working already and no reason why it wont again and think you will succeed.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It is a pleasure to read you again @empoderat! You leave me again impressed with your exemplary graphics. I hope you achieve your goals throughout the year and don't forget to keep us informed, hehe. I like your humor and the sarcasm with which you write!

Sometimes we can find personality in the driver of that car. In your case, a non pink Barbie car for a baronial driver with hair, in my case, a family car that always has the windows down so that the Rammstein symphony sounds with the volume turned up to the maximum.

Happy finance year 2021

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Such a long time without you posting around. Keep it up!

I'm a fan of that Rammstein tune btw

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I liked this man. Keep doing what you doing. I did something similar staying 8 months at home, and my portfolio went from £7000 to 25k lately. I cashed in only £1000 for the sake of it. And i just discovered Leo 1 month ago.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The future is ours bro

Ah, and if you read until this point. Thank you and hope you've enjoyed the read.

Yes I did, as I always do. At the beginning wanted to call you lucky, but then I realised that you kind of make your luck and you're the living proof of that.

$1 million?

A lot, but considering your past great trades it's easily manageable when the fun starts for altcoins and it will. BTC maximalists will at one point suddenly become quiet...

You said three years old phone and barbie car, I say mine is four years old and my car is valued at around $700. At this point I'm thinking why I'm not selling it and buy crypto...

As i said to my friends multiple times, I'd rather buy myself free time rather than expensive cars. Quite similar situation with the Romanians as well.

Good luck with that million goal!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I had a similar conversation a couple of weeks ago with a closer friend. Lucky, me? Yeah. Could be in the sense of growing in a 1r world country and to have parents able to grant me a decent education.

Financially I made my own path something that didn't happen overnight.

The old phone still works, and hope to amortize it a few months more... The car was an inheritance able to carry me to the required places. It's another 'tool', but I need it as I don't live in a city and you need a means of reliable transport.

A good car is something great... again if you have the means to enjoy it properly. Good car and 350€/monthly payment for 3 years? No thanks. If you have to take a loan obv you can't afford it IMO.

I'll be working hard to reach that goal, you'll also be able to make great things this year. Even with 'only' LEO

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Gracias ;)

Was wondering what you were up to. Nice to finally read your ( money ) story. Sounds like quite the ride. I too feel like 2021 is gonna be a major year financially ( for many of us, myself included ). As I described in two of my latest post ( titled changing your money story ) I am slowly but steadily getting there myself. I have a lot of deeply rooted believes to change but it seems like I'm finally getting there.

I wish you accomplish your goal this year although making it partially there already makes quite a difference. To think that you worked in a 5 Euro per hour job up till this year...

Un abrazo desde Portugal!

P.S. @trumpman has been chilling Travala for ages now but it took me up till this post to actually become interested. Hope I'm still in time...

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I like the way you think about money and I'm very happy that you had a great year financially. I was also able to reach many of my goals individually and as a couple, I've only been married for 1 year and 3 months and I think we are starting on the right foot and making a great team.

After seeing your results I would definitely trust you with your investments if you decide to create the pegged token.

I would like to say in advance that if any of the judges consider my post 'good enough' to be eligible for one of those prizes (such an honour btw, you'll make my day),

I'll GIVEAWAY all the prize for other users who I think need it more.

We will definitely take this into consideration!

By the way, I loved your post! And I just realized that I forgot the price predictions on mine, gonna edit it right away!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

We have some very similar goals.

I enjoyed reading through your well written post.

Best of luck to you and the projects you believe in.

I don’t think we can quite fathom just how wise these moves are we are making. We will become fully aware only once the future actualizes.

Godspeed.

That's part of the beauty, being 'correct' over time. It's fabulous to see your account growing into itself once you put some hard work in.

Thanks Daltono! :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Having such a million dollar dream, I think will be achievable for you before the year runs out, looking at things from your price prediction and stakes you already have.

I also have a million dream for this year, not in dollars but in naira lol😁. That's roughly around $2500 since the naira is devalued.

I learned about some alt coin from your post to which I might consider looking into

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Incredible how a local currency can change things in that sense.

I'll have to pay a few million nairas in taxes this year (lol)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Your post gifts a comprehensive analysis of of your investment choices and decisions. I've read your posts from way back October and you talk about some of the best projects to buy into. I think your 2020 was good decision wise. Not totally perfect but good and that is why I think your post wins it for me. Clear insight for 2021. Cheers!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thanks, jossediccus (it's also your real name buddy?)

I sometimes miss out on big gains in other projects, but you can't be everywhere at the same time, you have to 'concentrate' to make the most of what you have. Never FOMO is something very important also!

Glad to see you there and hope to keep exchanging insights mate.

Hope you had a great entry in 2021.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Nah my real name is Joseph, you can call me José as well.

Well everyone sometimes miss out on the big projects you know it's what it is, just have to focus on the things we can control and hope it works out the way we actually want it to.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thank you very much for your post and examples. I appreciate that you shared some of your private information. I feel I will have to do the same in my own entry though it is clearly not as substantial.

Your personal mantra is similar to my own. I started putting more and more into this platform in December 2020. I wear what I need and I drive what I must. I'll deal with top-tier if I am ever successful.

After reading your post, I am confident that you will meet your goal. I wish you the best of luck and fortune during this coming year.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It has been such a long way... Take your time and focus on discipline rather than 'fast' results.

Showing up from time to time is much better than not showing up at all. You have a great account btw!

Thanks and best of successes also for you :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hello dear friend @empoderat good morning
I'm very sorry that you have been fired from your job, many times things happen for some reason, maybe if I got the salary you were looking for, you would never have achieved what you have done up to here.
You have very good planning and I wish with all my heart that you get that million dollars before the end of the year.
I take this opportunity to wish you a happy and prosperous year

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yep, my wx shitjob was a required pain to keep going forward. Exactly as I see it.

Happy prosperous year also for you!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Lofty but achievable goals. I hope the alt season takes a jump and rewards the gem divers such as yourself.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Question is 'when', not 'if' :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That are some insane returns for 2020. Motivating many of us who have less to try to earn even more. Thanks.

The key is to keep yourself consistent and 'compound' good decisions one after another.

You need perseverance, lots of cold blood and be willing to lose some.

Glad that my story serves you :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Definitely an inspiration, plus I like your eyes for selecting these gems. They sure did you some good numbers. That's my aim as well. Gemified eyes

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The only way is practising and making mistakes.

If you manage to stay alive in the game enough time, you end up learning :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Happy new year!!

Also 1mil goal is the real deal i hope you succeed in achieving it. I wish i had money to invest in ava and buy the first 500 for the smart program but sadly i don't!

I also have the same logic as you, if i find money i'll try and invest in "upcoming" or "undervalued" coins.

To tell you the truth i don't see hive at 3 or leo at 10 this year, i would be happy if i see them around 1$+ :P

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

If you manage to work your way up to the first Smart level it's something that could pay off hugely in the future. If you ever can I recommend you to try it (that's true that the levels can be a barrier for some users).

LEO can be at 1$ and still be undervalued.

In the case of HIVE, we should get rid of a few things like the DAO and revamp a bit the tokenomics (Or introduce REAL tokenomics) because only curation rewards and RC are not enough IMHO.

It's a long term hold anyway. LEO is much more of a speculative play(still very solid).

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

If you manage to work your way up to the first Smart level it's something that could pay off hugely in the future. If you ever can I recommend you to try it (that's true that the levels can be a barrier for some users).

I am trying to find some money and buy my first ava tokens! In a way, i can spend some hive/leo earnings to do so but i more of a hodler regarding these 2 :P

I also totally agree on your point of view on both leo and hive. And "we" should really need a strong marketing initiative not from the members as we already doing it but from the leadership of hive for instance

(btw sorry for the late reply)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Np regarding 'late replies', everyone has a life and all that stuff.

It's true that marketing could be a key point regarding expanding Hive's reach... but I think that there are a few other features that @edicted talked about recently that are much more of a priority:

-Fixing HBD with overcollateralized loans using the savings account.
-Modular power-down time
-Fixing Governance (decaying/expiring witness votes)

Check their latest posts. This guy will make to FOMO again into HIVE...

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It's great that you will not receive the prize money (and that's my fuckury to say that I read the post till the end, what a douche :P)
I would invest in the coin if you maintain the level of returns that you are maintaining and if the reward distribution is more than 50% to users. I think it will be valuable for users who do not have the TA strength and may not have time to dive deep.

Good luck with 1M USD and for god sake - buy a new phone :D

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

The prize wouldn't mean a difference for me and for that reasn I find that a better outcome is to share it in a creative way, like for example between all the commenters to my post.

Still early to talk about that anyway.

Regarding the phone, the 'mute' button broke the other day, but fuck it, I can live with that.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

What a murderous strategy, this is risking and winning.

And the million dollar goal doesn't seem so far away, you just need to keep investing and waiting for the right moment to sell.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

And I'm glad of feeling that comfy with such an aggressive strategy :)

Selling at the right time it's one of the hardest things, yep.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Very good moves. I'm glad to see someone make some money with crypto. Most people make mistakes and lose money with trading or buying the wrong coins.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I also lose a lot of money from time to time. The key is to never go all-in into something and always manage to have a plan B, C, D...

Thanks for the upvote and the comment buddy. Highly appreciated :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

True. I don't even want to know how much I lost until now. But I see that as a scholarship or money invested in me, learning English, crypto, and finance. Didn't get a diploma, tho but my wallet is quite thick now.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

My dream is to be a professional shitcoiner like you one day.

Honestly, sometimes I consider myself dumb seeing what other guys do.

But anyway, the key is to keep going.

Seriously and aside of jokes.

Thanks for being there. Hive/LeoFinance would be a much boring place without you. (wen videos of dogs shittin on 3speak?) :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

1M$!!! Remember to invite me for a Beer then!
All the best for you in 2021!

That beer doesn't need to be questioned! We have to find a time to meet face to face :)

Sames wishes for you Eddie, we deserve the gains after the long winter!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I'm starting out this year with over 50K$ invested in cryptocurrencies.

That's definitely going to fulfill your objective of 1 million usd. A very well written post, why hive has no place ?

My relationship with HIVE is a love-hate one, but I'll make peace eventually hehe

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Bon any nou!

Gràcies! Igualment!! :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This real life story fits my desires and plans too, and I guess of many other people. Wish you a healthy and financially blessed 2021 year!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Let's see what happens :D

My mantra worked for me, but understand that not everyone would be comfortable holding the amount of 'risk' that I'm facing.

It's curious, my net worth may vary daily a 'yearly wage amount' for some of my friends in real life. I recognise that not everyone can handle such fluctuations... but I'm confident about my investments and that's all that matters about me. It's also an 'ability' that you must train over the years. As I said I'm used to investing since ~8 years ago.

I'm not only betting in 'promises', I'm betting into people who overdeliver (and Khal is one of those rare guys).

Keep going!

Ps. I encourage to avoid touching XRP, it's a timebomb.
As blocktrades said once: ''play shitty games, get shitty prizes''.
