It's been a month and that's where I'll stop. For now. I may share some of what's been going on in another post or two. Or Not.
On to the business of Power Up Day:
Power Up Day February 2024 is less than 48 hours away
Regular readers of my PUD posts will remember that last month things were a little different and it seems as though they will be again for March. I'm hoping it's not going to live up to it's moniker in some parts of the world: Mad March.
For those not aware, four of us who like helping redfish get established on the blockchain, delegate 100HP, each and each month, to deserving accounts, for three weeks. The criteria that, from July 2021, applied were that accounts must:
- be less than 6 months old
- have at least two qualifying posts since the previous power up day.
Posts that qualify must have 200 words or more and exclude posts for Power Up Day, and Actifit.
As a reminder, the reason I added the second criterion is because -
Hive is a social blockchain: it's for socialising, ruminating and just generally hanging out.- have a reputation of less than 61
- have not more than 500 HP in their accounts before they power up - both on the first of the month
For the next while, we will, however, be relying on one of our Fabulous Four, who is part of the @lovesniper initiative, to help us identify deserving accounts to support. The revised criteria are that:
- there must be an introductory post of at least 200 words, but preferably more posts (also of 200 or more words, that are not about gaming or Actifit)
- the account should have either powered up what it can, or had help to power up.
The back story
Just in case you didn't know, from July 2022 - three qualifying redfish that meet my our criteria and the basic PUD criteria (read about it here and below) receive delegations of 300 HP for 21 days.
Each of us - @lizelle, @coquicoin (herself a recipient of one of my delegations) and I (@fionasfavourites) - usually delegate 100HP to the winning accounts for three weeks (21 days).
Then
From February this year, @ifarmgirl joined our Power of Three to make the Fabulous Four.
So
Now, between four of us, three deserving recipients now get
a total of 400HP deletaged to them for three weeks (21 days)
In the meantime, back to the business of Power Up Day:

Of course, that's not all
Remember that in addition to the delegations, these accounts are added to my fanbase and receive a daily 100% upvote (if my voting power is still more than 90%; if it's not, I do try to pop over, but RL sometimes gets in the way). This is also why I ask @ginabot or my bot F.R.I.D.A.Y to notify me each time they post. If I have an opportunity, I pop over, have a gander and occasionally weigh in on whatever the post may be about. If you haven't had a vote, I then give a manual vote.
Oh, and @mamani, @luisdiaz1 and @danimars08 if you notice that your wallets have just shrunk, it's because I've cancelled my delegation - a week late!
