Redfish Powering Up on 1st May could win a 400HP delegation

Another Hive Power Up Day has arrived. I’ve lost count of how many I’ve done. Each month, on the first, I stop powering down (and I have powered down because RL work has been dismal) and power up (again) what I can. This month, I also decided to swap my HBD, but left it a bit late, so even though I’ve powered down and sold Hive, I’m not powering up as much as I’d like.

Let’s just say that the last twelve or so months have been a little like the road in the banner pick – rough and rocky.

Change has also been a constant in my life and particularly now. It’s also time to change up how the Fab Four are handling our delegations to redfish. Because @traciyork’s initiative has fallen away, we’re going to be doing things a bit differently.

Before I get to that, and in case you’re wondering, Traci’s ok, but dealing with some issues – that’s her story to tell. When or if she chooses.

Although we are changing things, we remain committed to supporting redfish in their quest to get established on the blockchain. What we do, each month, is delegate 100HP to three deserving accounts, for three weeks.

In other words, three deserving redfish get 400HP to use as they please for three weeks.

Calling for redfish who want a delegation for 21 days

Instead of our identifying worthy noobs and trawling through accounts, we’re asking you to take responsibility.

Criteria for delegations

To be eligible for a delegation from the Fab Four, you must meet the following criteria – we do check –

• Your account must be be less than 6 months old
• You must have at least two qualifying posts since the previous power up day.
  Posts that qualify must have 200 words or more and exclude posts for Power Up Day, and Actifit.
  As a reminder, the reason for second criterion is because -
  Hive is a social blockchain: it's for socialising, ruminating and just generally hanging out.
• You have a reputation of less than 61
• You have not more than 500 HP in their accounts before they power up - both on the first of the month

OR

If your account is new and you haven’t had the RCs to post more frequently, you must meet at least these criteria:

• there must be an introductory post of at least 200 words, but preferably more posts (also of 200 or more words, that are not about gaming or Actifit)
• the account should have either powered up what it can on the first of the month, or had help to power up.

In addition to those criteria, we give preference to those accounts that are candidates for the Silver Bloggers' Community. All four of us are members and the community is @lizelle's brainchild.

The back story

Just in case you didn't know, from July 2022 - three qualifying redfish that meet my our criteria and the basic PUD criteria (read about it here and below) receive delegations of 300 HP for 21 days.
Each of us - @lizelle, @coquicoin (herself a recipient of one of my delegations) and I (@fionasfavourites) - usually delegate 100HP to the winning accounts for three weeks (21 days).

From February this year, @ifarmgirl joined our Power of Three to make the Fabulous Four.

Of course, that's not all

Remember that in addition to the delegations, these accounts are added to my fanbase and receive a daily 100% upvote (if my voting power is still more than 90%; if it's not, I do try to pop over, but RL sometimes gets in the way). This is also why I ask my bot F.R.I.D.A.Y to notify me each time they post. If I have an opportunity, I pop over, have a gander and occasionally weigh in on whatever the post may be about. If you haven't had a vote, I then give a manual vote.

Oh, and @mayramalu if you notice your wallet has shrunk, it's because I've cancelled my delegation.
