We need to socialize on a social platform for that platform to look active. It's that simple. Without comments, it looks inactive, stagnant or even dying.
A comment, a day is easy for anyone(though it takes consistency), let me try out 5 comments a day and see how far I can go...and this is my first comment today!

Imagine having 100 users making 5 comments per day. That's defintiely easier than having 10 users making 50 comments per day.. We need more engagement, which is more comments, but the truth is that we need more people who are putting in effort to increase the overall engagement.

I know one day we shall have enough numbers commenting, we all know that when prices are down people lack morale from posting and commenting!

A lot of people stopped making comments when comments where literally never rewarded as well..
