Aptos Aridrop
To be eligible for this one you needed to follow the first step in this post. Those that minted the testnet NFT should be eligible for 150 APT tokens today. Here is how you can check if you got them.
Go to the Airdrop page, log in and connect your wallet. If you are eligible you will see a screen like this.
To claim the drop you will need to have some APT in your wallet but those can be obtained via the Fuacet. Follow the link and complete the steps to get 0.025 APT deposited to your wallet instantly.
Claiming is a bit clunky considering that almost 100K people qualified for this drop but with patience and a few tries you should be able to claim with no issues. If you do run into some try changing your network to Mainnet 1.
Sell, Buy or Hold?
At the time of writing the price of one APT is $8 which many consider too high since the total supply is 1B but only 200M tokens or so will be in circulation during the first year, if I read the docs correctly.
In that case, we could also expect APT to go even higher before touching new lows and since the chain only launched today I am sure many speculators will be buying APT for many, many new airdrops that are to be hunted on the Aptos blockchain.
As a standard practice, I am selling half and keeping half for the time being. There will be more drops int he future and interacting with new dapps as they keep launching will surely be profitable in the coming months.
If you were one of the lucky ones, congrats! It's time to celebrate. If you missed out, don't worry but keep your eyes open a bit harder because this frog ain't messing around. The Aptos airdrop hunt is on and we have quire a few more blockchains to cover as well.
