While they are good, I am more wary of the main stream news networks. I like that we can would be able to vote on things but I think the biggest issue is to figure out if they are actual people or not. In a way I am not sure if the government would really use block chain outside of public documents.

I don't think having a public ledger of who is making weapons and fulfilling orders is a good thing either. All it takes is someone who wants to steal to take away the weapons. Let's say someone made a few bombs for the government and they put it down. In this case I would really not want some outside organization stealing the bombs to use elsewhere. There are things that can be kept public and others not so much.
