I had an interesting conversation with my wife tonight...
After I got home from work, we sent the kids to their room so we could eat dinner in relative peace and quiet.
We started reminiscing about my 'hay days' in online business. The income I was making, but more than that, the freedom I had working from home and being around each other all the time.
We miss it. I miss it a lot. And it's why I'm so hopeful that this blockchain will eventually become a 'full time income generator' for me in one way or another. It's my goal and my dream for sure!
But back to the conversation we were having...She asked me...'What's next?'
I was a little taken back by the question and slightly confused but I responded, what's next for what?
I'm paraphrasing here but this is the general idea of what she was asking...
"You got started building online businesses, before anyone knew what 'making money online' even meant! You integrated social media into everything you built years before the masses jumped onto Facebook. And you saw the potential of Bitcoin before a lot of people did...So, what's next?"
Let me be honest here, she made me feel like some kind of prophet LOL But I just said...All those decisions just made sense and felt right.
I wish I was that smart...To say what's next. What's the next big thing that everyone should rush into...But I'm just a dude. And it's pretty obvious, my decisions in life haven't been the best or else I'd still have thriving online businesses and not sitting in a truck for 11 hours a day lol
But what's next for me is what feels right and guess what that is?
It's this blockchain. It's what it represents. It's the potential of it.
And I guarantee you this, I haven't felt more strongly about something than I do about Hive...Ever. You see, I'm not talking T/A, moving averages, RSI lines, blah blah blah...
I'm talking about my gut feeling. I'm talking about the desire I have to talk about this blockchain to anyone that will listen, and highlight the amazing members of the community any chance I get.
Could I be wrong? And this is just a bunch of fan boys and fan girls that are keeping this chain alive? Sure, I've been wrong about a lot of things lol Too many things that I'd like to admit.
But here's why I am so excited....
I get home, after 11 hours of working. I spend time with my family and make sure they come first. But after the kids are settled and the wife is talking to her sister on the phone lol I sit down....
In front of my computer and create. I read Threads on LEO. I engage with people. I'm in love with this blockchain lol Because even right now, while it's not making me a living, I know I'm building for the future.
What's next?
Hey, whatever it is...Make sure you LOVE it! And put your all into it. Your future self will thank you :)
The job is just a means to an end. A paycheck to be able to do what you really want.

I’m sure our future self with thank us for sticking with hive and loving it for what it is. I’m sure we have people that are also in the same situation as you are and are asking themselves - what next?
Tbh I’ve been asking myself questions that revolves around what to do next too because I’m at that point In my life where I have to decide what to do and what purpose will that serve and also serve the whole humanity along the line.
I think I’ll stick to showing up daily and see where it goes with hive and the crypto world in general. Keep bringing man and you might be a prophet if she was able to say that to you plainly.

What I see on hive is love in something that people are ready to come together and overcome whatever obstacle, this baby of many faces and that will see this platform boom one way or the other.
Oh it'll happen, just a question of when.
I think as the time goes ahead, in 40s and 50s, it's better to get into the stocks, crypto staking and the real estate agent game. The reason being it's low load on body and you'd not feel exhausted after some years. I have that plan from this next few years onwards.
Or reinvent yourself in your 40's like I did...Out of necessity lolol
It's hard to know what you are going to do in the future but the paycheck pays the bills. It's good if you are enjoying the process though.

if you go by CT the amount of time i spent in crypto space i should be rich or bankrupt :) but i am nether. picking utility in crypto is not that great for the wallet in the short term, long term, who knows :)
but one big thing that i got from all of this (and never for any other online space) is that i met some great people from all over the world. Could be that every blockchain community says that, but there is something in this Hive community :)

I've really come to appreciate Hive a lot myself. I was thinking the other day if all of my crypto were to suddenly go to zero, the one that would bug me the most would probably be Hive. Partly because it is my biggest holding, but also because it is just such a huge part of my life now.

Clearly you have a lot of passion in what you do day to day and you have great hope for the future value of Hive.
Does your strategy include converting some ongoing earnings from Hive activity to useable fiat currency?
For me, I see Hive as high risk today with a potential of high return tomorrow. Risk management is a must to protect the accumulated value of Hive. I am guessing we will see lots of ups and down for many years. !lol
Eventually I'd love to live off the HBD I'm earning. I select 50/50 in my post payouts, so 50% goes to HP, staked for life lol But the HBD hopefully can help...But also different delegation / investing projects here can add to my daily totals.
