Splinterlands: Midweek Report on My Season So Far

After about two weeks away from the Guild, I am back. So I could not play before because I chose the fray where only Rebellion summoners are used, and I did not have any Rebellion summoners. I made this mistake for a while before realizing what was wrong.

So this time, I won the majority of my battles and the opponent fled some of them, but I still got 1k+ Merits and about 12.6 SPS, which is not bad. Merit are no longer explicit because they can now be purchased outside of the Guild, and there is no longer a DEC for gladius cards that you choose to burn.

However, Gladius cards are still useful assets in ranked battles and guild play, which is why I have decided to repurchase them and increase their levels. This week, I decided to buy three Gladius cases with some merits I received from the shops, as well as for this week's reward.

Nothing particularly exciting, but I did receive one epic card and one gold level 3 common card. I wish I could have gotten more epics, or at least one legendary card.

There are legendary cards I specifically want from the Gladius cases, but they have eluded me thus far; I will keep looking for them, and I need about two more cards to level up my Quora. I burned some Gladius cards while keeping the merit, as it is now possible to buy, burn, and repeat.

Splinterlands is changing.

The gameplay is also changing. A lot of changes are happening in the game, and the exclusivity of earning is being reduced, particularly with assets. Nowadays, you need more SPS and assets to win games; I am almost at 10,000 staked SPS and expect to reach it within a week. I still have an incoming 16k delegation, and I am grateful for the opportunity to increase my SPS earnings while playing. So, within a week, I plan to purchase some SPS and increase my SPS stake to 10k

I am still not sure how the glint reward works. I know you get X2 of what you earn while playing, but I am not sure how to calculate it. I am aiming for at least 45k Glints, and that is all I know. Getting there will allow me to buy more cards and level up some soulbound cards that I also need.

On average, I earn about 0.9 SPS per win, and if I am lucky, I can get 10 or more wins in a day. We only have about 7 days and some hours left in the season, and I believe Gwen's shop will look a little different this time around.

Cards Worth The Money

From all the cards I got the last time. The Moxian Rebel appears to be the best Rebellion card for the money, followed by the ULUNDIN. I have not used the endless ape much, but I hope to.

I am still not sure how the glint reward works. I know you get X2 of what you earn while playing, but I am not sure how to calculate it.

Actually, it's easier than before. The season rewards in Glint are double the amount of Glint you earn during the regular season.

It shows pretty well here:

I was not exactly at zero Glint at the beginning of the season, that's why it's not exactly 2x, but if I would have had 0 Glint at the beginning of the season, it would be exactly 2x.

I also didn't have zero glint at the beginning of the season, maybe that was why it was difficult for me to calculate. I try to empty my glint at the shop when the season ends, to begin afresh. Thanks for showing me this. Did you burn cards?

Did you burn cards?

Yes, I did, lots of them, after the season-end rewards, as I purchased more draws from the shop, hoping to max out my regular soulbounds until this set is replaced by the next one.

But the 50k is mostly what I earned from battles this season. I had almost zero when I was done shopping.

I need one more Quora to get to level 2. That third one has been eluding me for a very long time! Gladius cards can be very useful especially now that they can be used in regular battles thanks to the new summoners.

Moxian Rebel is so expensive, it's a good card especially at higher levels. But until more are available on the market it's going to stay expensive.

Getting Quora seems to be even more harder than the regular gladius cards. Over one year now and I only have two copies.
I just had to buy that Moxian Rebel, of course I can resell it whenever I need the cash for something important.

I am glad that a lot of your opponents fled after you picked the wrong brawl.

As for glint, you get double what you earned that season. So for 45k glint, you need to have earned 22.5k Glint from ranked battles (modern plus wild).

Thank you, it just feels like we're always needing to adapt to newer rules at all time with splinterlands, it can be hectic
