My Second Power Up Day

in LeoFinance2 years ago

It's that day of the month, PUD. I'm really happy to be participating in this for the second month now. I joined Hive at the end of December and in my couple of months on the platform I've been able to learn so much about it and have really enjoyed my time and the people I've met!

I have been active in many different communities and seem to come across more each week that passes. The amount of Discord servers I'm in has flown up in the last few months, to which I'm really grateful as it has been a big help for me.

When I first joined Hive I was invited to The Terminal and OCD, each community is overflowing with really sound people who collectively know a lot about Hive and every aspect of it. Not only that but, they have always been quick with an answer to my noobish questions, to which I can't re-pay with anything other than kind words.

Here are links to join, for any noobs that might find this post.

The Terminal - https://discord.gg/fjZuxDYAh4

OCD - https://discord.gg/AnZDPPWNAg

I also came across this really cool group who are making a game at the moment for the Hive blockchain which is going to be a First and Third-person shooter set in a dystopian cyberpunk world. To me I think it is amazing, I would have had more Hive to power up my account but, have been investing in the LVL token which will be the in-game currency and I also bought two land plots for it which I can't wait to build on. I'm not telling anyone to invest in it, as I'm probably the worst person to take financial advice from, I do advise anyone to join the discord of them and read about the stuff they're doing. I have been and I'm pretty excited about it.

Here's a link to their Discord

Psyber X - https://discord.gg/k2spev9bvf

As well as discovering those guys, recently I came across a post about a community called THGaming, which spoke of a Liquidity Pool they have going on. I'd never heard of one before so done some homework on what an LP was and then decided to add some money to it, the returns have been pretty good and I like the people doing it.

Here's a link to their discord for anyone who wants to join.

Lastly, at the start of the month, I was introduced to another group and joined the Discord of them called CineTV, who run some really cool contests regularly which gives everyone with a love for the world of cinema a place to discuss ideas and I've had a lot of fun writing posts and reading fellow film lovers posts. Well worth joining if you're interested.

Now then, last month, the 1st of February, 2022 I had powered up 20 Hive which brought my Hive Power from 80 to 100, in the month of February, I grew my HP from 100 to 150.

img_0.9133887825159982.jpg

Well, okay 152.108, which I think is a major achievement.

I decided to Power up 20 Hive as I did last month, leaving me with 172.108 Hive Power after the fact.

I have noticed the upgrade in my HP over the last 2 months, remembering when I first joined Hive, I ran out of resource points so much and would really have to be strategic to a certain extent when it came to posting, liking, re-blogging, and even commenting. Those days are gone and I couldn't be happier about it.

One thing that I think helped me was daily posting. Since the 1st of January, I have posted daily to Hive and I think that has really helped me boost my account. It has been challenging, but, I've always been up for a challenge. It's given me a lot of entertainment doing so, I have created so many pieces of fiction and I can feel that my creativity has skyrocketed, and not only that but, my determination as well. Sometimes now, I sit down to write something and just start. Now, there have been a few times where I have deleted it all and started again from scratch. But, some of the little stories I've written, that have come out of nowhere have amazed me, more so when I've received comments from people who also enjoyed the pieces of fiction I've put out there. For all of this and much more, I'm so happy to have found Hive.

Will I be continuing my daily posting for March? I think I will, but, I'm afraid at the same time. I'm at a point now where if I stop I'll be a bit disappointed, but if I continue much farther I'll want to keep going for the whole year.

The bee with a 12 beside it would look a lot nicer than one with a 2 after all. I'll post as long as I have something to post about I guess.

Hope you found something useful from this write-up I have done here. Happy Power Up Day everyone!

That sounds just like my type of thing ... so I had better avoid it, haha. I already don't have time to focus on what I know that I should be doing; what I returned to the social blockchain for. I'm so very tempted to take a look at Psyber X now! 😁

"...in the month of February, I grew my HP from 100 to 150."

This is my goal for March 2022. However, I do not / can not afford to contribute fiat currency to my HIVE account, as I don't have the spare disposable income for that. My gains over the last couple of months have mainly been from powering down my old legacy social blockchain accounts, and powering up my new @frittro account.

"Well, okay 152.108, which I think is a major achievement."

I totally agree! Well done matey, that is a great achievement. I hope that I will do so well in March.

"Since the 1st of January, I have posted daily to Hive and I think that has really helped me boost my account."

I still struggle with this. Being a bit of a perfectionist, it takes me a while to knock out a new post, and I strive for quality over quantity. This is no disparagement of anyone else's blogging abilities; and is more about my own limitations. It takes me longer than most people to achieve what I would consider a blog post that is worthy of hitting the "Publish" button on. In short, I am my own worst critic!

"The bee with a 12 beside it would look a lot nicer than one with a 2 after all."

I salute you! Your account growth for February looks a lot more consistent than mine was, and clearly your efforts with daily posting are paying off.

Upvoted, Commented & Reblogged.

The daily posting is really hard, but, I've enjoyed pushing myself to do it. I've been so happy with myself to keep at it. I know so many people who criticise themselves way too much, sometimes it's better though to relax and just let your stuff get out there. We all have to wear our dirt on sleaves sometimes. Second-guessing yourself is always a bad idea.

I think it helps that I'm a fast typer. Most of the time it's like meditation, I'm thinking and typing at the same time and read through changing things then read again to make sure it makes sense then once more for good luck. Sometimes I read it one final time after I've posted it to make any edits for anything that slipped past. Luckily though that doesn't happen often.

Psyber X is well worth looking at to see what they're doing, but, I know what you mean haha I'm worried about what'll happen to my free time when it releases.

Yeah, I can't afford to put much into Hive either at the moment, but, I'm hoping for brighter days.

I've never heard of Legacy, is that the same as Hive?

"The daily posting is really hard, but, I've enjoyed pushing myself to do it."

I can imagine! I returned to the social blockchain specifically to blog regularly about my new #homelab that I am setting up, running #NextCloud on a #RaspberryPi. However, I haven't even done many posts yet about that subject so far. Only 3/10 of my posts thus far have had anything at all to do with my #homelab. It is so easy to get distracted, haha.

Like me, you are your own worst critic, lol. I am such a perfectionist, and I always take ages proofreading my posts.

"...I'm worried about what'll happen to my free time when it releases."

Yep, don't tempt me further, I think I might be very susceptible to this one. I used to play steempunknet_18px.png #steempunknet, which sadly isn't around any more. Have a look at my post from 2018 about this though, and you'll see what it was all about.

"I've never heard of Legacy, is that the same as Hive?"

The "legacy social blockchain" is how I tend to refer to Steem these days. When I returned to the social blockchain this year, after an absence of three years, I learned about what had transpired on the old ("legacy") social blockchain. A lot of people here who went through those times are still very unhappy about the way that they were treated back then. And I don't blame them either, as I'm sure I would have been too. But out of respect for what they went through, I now refer to those days as the "legacy social blockchain", and try not to mention the actual name as much.

Great job growing your account & participating in HivePUD!

Thanks so much, it wouldn't of been possible without the terminal! I would of been lost and most likely would have given up on the idea or just not of been as active.

We are so glad to have been able to help! 😊

Do you mean "wouldn't have been" instead of wouldn't of been, and "would have been" instead of would of been? 🤔 At least, you are correct with "would have given"! 😊

Have some !LOLZ! 🤗😁

Sad face... hahah yeah I did mean have instead of... of. But, sure look we all make the occasional grammatical error.

I know that the error is somewhat common when typing, since "have" and "of" sounds alike, especially when spoken after the words "could", "would", "should", or similar words. 🤓😏

Have another !LOLZ! 😁

Hi @killerwot . Nice achievements you have made so far. As a noob i have same challenge of daily posting due to other engagement. But i have been keepup to posting everyday.

Thanks for the discord community you share too.

They're all great communities to be apart of. The daily posting isn't easy, espescially when other things come up. I write stuff into my drafts and try to store them up, it kind of helps on days when the ideas aren't coming. The fiction stories too have been such a big help, as at this point I've gotten really fast at writing and creating the story as I type. Glad you liked the post!

Man like @killerwot... You have come a long way and seeing your post is quite inspiring. You need to feed me with more sci-fi content by the way.

Thank mate, I'll get on it and publish another story soon, maybe even today. Also that means a lot, I'm glad I was able to be an inspiration. My account is still small in the grand scheme of things but I've come a long way.

Beat your chest please.

You're growing really fast, and you're very consistent as well. Keep it up

Thanks so much, I've been having a lot of fun using Hive and I'm glad I found the platform!
