Riftwatchers Investment | -26.28% after 9 Months

Greetings Splinterfolk!

The purpose of this series of posts is to record my investment in Riftwatchers and ultimately determine if it was worth it or not.

• Since the Splinterlands team decided to change the ranked reward system from DEC to SPS, I decided to participate in the Riftwatchers pre-sale in order to preserve the value of my SPS. I believe that SPS and Vouchers will start slowly declining in value for the foreseeable future and so I wanted to convert my SPS/Voucher holdings into Riftwatchers packs.
• I only had 25 vouchers before the pre-sale went live so I decided to sell all of the excess SPS I wouldn't need for the purchase in order to buy the additional 25 vouchers on Tribaldex. The average cost of one voucher was $0.64 when I made the purchase.
• When the pre-sale went live on 16 September 2022, I decided to buy 50 Riftwatchers packs with all of my SPS/Voucher holdings, which equated 2,993.327 SPS and 50 Vouchers.
• In total, I spent $282 and received 50 Riftwatchers packs which averages out to $5.64/per pack.

Airdropped Cards | $8.40

9 months after the Riftwatchers pre-sale went live, there have been 1,027,035 packs sold and 3 cards airdropped. Unfortunately, there have been no new cards airdropped since my last update, however, we are only 472,965 packs away from the next airdrop.

Below are the highest bid prices on peakmonsters for all the airdropped cards that I have received so far:

• I invested $282 and the current value of all my Riftwatchers-related assets is $207.88.

While Splinterlands does have a referral program, it only benefits the referrer and not the referee. Therefore, it is up to us (the existing players) to create our own referral program to help new players enter into the game. I've outlined below how my custom referral program works:
