Hive is a unique ecosystem in the crypto space. As I always say - Decentralization lives on a spectrum. Nothing is full decentralized. Nothing if fully centralized.
Hive lives further on that spectrum than 99% of cryptos. It's comes close to something like a Bitcoin network and far from something like a Solana or BSC network.

A decentralized exchange for trading hive would make sense, however, expanding through other forms of listings is also great, because that way, liquidity is also becoming decentralized and available in many centralized exchanges of which sadly the traction lies. I have been thinking about this intently and although I think The Unaswap Eth-Wleo LP provides a decentralized pathway into wleo, Leo, bleo, bhive and then hive. I can understand how what seems like a straight forward path to me, looks convoluted to others. However a hive derivative paired with ETh would be a less convuluted path and provide immediate access to a hive derivative on a Dex.

Hive needs cross-chain exchanges operating on Hive blockchain. I believe the infrastructure of Hive can be used perfectly fine with giant projects that need to be secured with blockchain technology.

This is an amazing question and the answers are proportional to its importance. The idea of a native DEX is a necessity to ensure trading with liquidity. Without that, it is hard to ensure fast reactions to market conditions and take opportunities.

I can say that, what we have on hive cannot be found in any social media platform. It is more than what we know. I am greatful to God who gave founders of hive the wisdom to go for something different and outstanding. I am coming back to get more from this post @leofinace.
In answering the question in the title, I'd say HIVE is perfect just the way it is. As a decentralized platform, it allows for flexibility and varieties in the aspect of developments onboarded.

Eventually, Dex are going to take over the market. Take a look at Uniswap. they recently outdid Coinbase with Etherium transactions and kept it day way for some days. If Hive can achieve that next year it will be the best thing that could happen to the ecosystem.
My favorite at the moment is THORChain. If we could get native HIVE/HBD listed along with LEO, CUB, POLYCUB etc. it would be one of the best things to happen to the ecosystem. HIVE should be the easiest to list due to higher marketcap, trading volume and longer history.
