Buddy gave me the case, but it was NASTY, LOL! Cleaned up well and added all new fans with a fresh MSI 550W PSU.
Learned some lessons with this one too... It was a used motherboard/CPU/RAM combo I got from ebay, and didn't realize the motherboard was the cheap link, lol. It works fine, but for mining Monero, apparently the memory latency and power capacitor limitations on the board are causing me to get base level hashrates, which is like only 60% of what this CPU can do.
So looks like I will be getting a new motherboard that can handle it in the very near future. But regardless, it's off the bench and mining some fresh coin!

IT: Welcome to Derry (2025) : Now You See It - S01E03 - RECAP
Episode 3 of Welcome to Derry dropped yesterday and man this one got me feeling kinda mixed, the series has been solid so far but this episode slows things down a bit too much 🎪. That massive nine minute scene going back to 1962 with the traveling carnival looks absolutely beautiful, production value is still insane as always, but the whole thing feels like one giant explanation for why General Shaw is so obsessed with hunting down Pennywise even though he does not really know wtf he is looking for. Like we get it dude has serious daddy issues and wants to prove himself to his dead father 💀, did we really need all that backstory just for that, could have been done in half the time and gotten to the good stuff faster instead ➡️ #linkinthecomments
This episode is not bad but it is definitely the weakest one so far out of the three, too much setup and not enough payoff for my taste, though the military storyline finally starts connecting with everything else 🎬. The show is juggling like four different storylines right now with the kids, the military, Shaw backstory and Rose tribe, some working way better than others. Dick visions and his military story feels like he has a lot to lose and in constant danger while the kids plot feels like it is on a treadmill stretching out something that could have been told faster 💤. Episode 3 gets a 7 out of 10 from me, still worth watching but hoping episode 4 picks things back up with more intense horror
The kids storyline with Lilly, Ronnie, Will and Rich doing their graveyard scene to catch Pennywise on camera is where this episode starts losing me because the execution feels rushed and not thought out 📷. They go to this cemetery at night trying to summon ghosts and yeah some creepy stuff happens with gravestones cracking and dead kids showing up but it all feels like we have seen this before, another scene where the show holds back on giving us a proper look at Pennywise 🤡. When Will gets that photograph showing the clown it should feel like this huge reveal but it just feels like another step taking way too long, we are three episodes in and still playing hide and seek when we all know what we are here to see right now
Chris Chalk is doing amazing work as Dick Hallorann and honestly every scene with him feels more interesting than everything else going on 🔥. When he touches that slingshot on the plane and gets pulled into Pennywise lair with all those floating bodies and his dead grandmother telling him to run, that shit gets dark real fast. You can see the terror on his face and when he almost jumps out of the damn plane before Leroy grabs him it feels like actual danger, this is the intensity the show needs more of 😨. The vision looks incredible with that underwater sewer vibe and dead kids hanging in the air, one of those moments where the show stops messing around and delivers something that makes your skin crawl right
The young Francis Shaw meeting Rose as a kid actually works pretty well though, these two have decent chemistry and when that creepy skeleton thing 💀 comes crawling out of the woods trying to kill Shaw and Rose saves his ass with a slingshot, that moment hits because it gives the weapon real meaning. Later when Dick Hallorann grabs that same slingshot on the plane and gets dragged into that insane vision sequence 😱, everything connects, the slingshot becomes this artifact linking past to present. Seeing young Shaw and Rose deal with the monster gives their present day reunion some extra weight too, you can tell she knows he is full of shit when he shows up pretending to talk about water pipes here
Nikki Glaser hosted SNL for the first time and immediately got dragged for a joke about child molestation involving her 4 year old nephew, she told a story about him wanting to take a shower with her and then made jokes about what if she molested him and how you do not know what you are into until you try it, people on X went absolutely nuts saying this crossed a major line even for comedy, like there are some things you just do not joke about regardless of whether you meant harm or not, Glaser has not responded to any of the backlash yet but her whole monologue felt shaky from the start before she even got to that part.
