Hi there, this is Lucky Ali, and welcome back to my new article. Security in Blockchain is a Foundation because without security, the blockchain is nothing. When you are on Hive, you can create your own way to secure your wallets, and I can say this is an advanced level of security. Separate each activity and safeguard your crypto very easily. We have already seen such examples in which users created multiple accounts for different activities. Activities like posting, Business operations, curation, and other tasks on a single account can cause issues, and a security risk is involved. Because these activities depend only on a Single key, the multi-account security Idea makes a lot of sense.
Hive already supports different permission levels
Hive's design is made like this: it supports Different permission levels, and there are different keys in your wallet, such as Activity, posting, active, memo, and master keys. Which means, already there is a high level of security to protect your fund and your activities, because you have separate keys for each and every activity. But taking it one step further is an Extraordinary thing. So if you have a different purpose and you are creating multiple accounts for that purpose, then you are going to advanced-level security. Let's say you have one account with long-term savings where you Your HBD save HBD and you are earning 15% a year from that.
Now you have one curation account that's specially used for curation. Also, there is one more account you have that you manage for the daily spending and business days' Deals. By doing such a thing, you are not putting everything at risk, and you are setting boundaries for everything that you are doing on Hive. Let's understand it by example, so I want to increase my reputation and social Presence. For that, I use my posting account and interact with other users. So this is gonna build my reputation, and people will know me, and I will build connections here.
Now I have one more account for managing funds. So even if I exposed my posting in my first account by mistake, and it is not possible to touch Hive, Hbd, or hive power by using the posting key, but still, it's Good to protect it. So in this particular account, I manage my fund. This way, you are designing your security layers.
Do not forget your personal responsibility

One thing is clear that even after using multiple accounts for different purposes, responsibility is yours because this is decentralised world So if you don't Know how to manage multiple keys and all these things Then you should not do it Because saving keys and securing your keys It's the most important But If you do multi-account security on hive then it is advanced level of security And if you can do this then I highly recommend you to do it. Hive is like your own bank, and multi-account security is not going to make things complicated, but easy and manageable for you. The only thing you have to do is secure your keys and manage your keys.
So you can enjoy the freedom of Hive by securing your Crypto Keys on an advanced level. I wanna know your opinion on this topic. Please share your comment below. and share this article on social media. I'll meet you in my next blog. Till then, take care

I started using the keychain app since day 1, and I find it very easy and convenient to us,e which takes care of security well
Keychain is the Best thing out here. Otherwise storing the keys was a hassle. I remember writing down the key in my notepad. 🤣
Exactly 😅
Hi finpulse,
Obviously, a keychain provides an advanced level of security, but when it comes to separating your operations, such as curation, posting, and fund management, multi-account security is helpful.
I think this is a great way to manage security risk and not have everything concentrated in one account. Keeping organised of all the keys on the multiple accounts could be a hassle though 😂
Ya, that could be an issue 😃
I like the idea of having multiple accounts for multiple activities. I even had the movie review account but having accounts and doing activities are two different things 😅
But you invented the idea way before. 😅
That's great inuke bhai 🤗
Hahaha kya hai fayda.. inactive account hain 😅
Invention to kiya na bhale hi implementation na huva ho 😎

Hi ali, lets say I have 2 accounts in splinterlands, one main account that I am playing all the time and the alt account mainly for rentals of my cards only, I used hive keychain extension for both of them. I can log in and log out using the same extension. I can't remember how I set it up. Am I okay or am I at risk?
There is no risk with the keychain; you can do it with the keychain buddy
Okay Thanks ali.
