Hi! Today im celebraing 1 week on Hive, its been really fun and I have tried to get some of my friends on board. @Fredrikaa has been super helpful with asking their questions and he really cares about this community.

On thing that I'm struggling with here in Hive personally is how do you build followers that share the same passions as you? What is the best way to do that on the Hive platform? And how do you connect with other people who shares your passion when there is no function here to DM.

I would love to connect with other people who are curious about entrepreneurship, marketing and e-commerce.

Cheers and hugs, Max

Probably to look at the Trending posts in the tags you want to share content to. And then make good questions or comments to their posts and/or engage with those who comment there, while introducing yourself as new on the platform

That said, I think we have a lot of room for improvement with regards to helping new users connect with each other or with people of similar interests. Communities are meant to help, but there's a lot more for us to add. Suggestions would be welcomed:)

Thank you @Fredrikaa will do!:)

Alternatively if there are no real active communities on entrepreneurship, startups or e-commerce could be that we make our own;)

I would look at various hashtags matching your interests and look for an appropriate community. I did lots of commenting when I started and that helped build my connections. Peakd does actually have a DM facility, but recipients need to use an appropriate dapp to see it.

With your interests there should be something around #leofinance.

Thanks for the advice @Steevc :) Will try that out ^^

Comment. Comment. Comment.

The key is to engage yourself with others. Do not expect them to come to you, go to them. This starts with finding posts you connect with and leaving comments.

Many authors will not respond (dont take it personally, that is how they are) but some will.

Keep doing that over a few months and you will get noticed.

We have a daily post where we get together and just "chitchat". It is called @leomarkettalk and you can find the latest post there.

There are probably a couple dozen people who frequent that place on a regular basis. It is a good starting point.
