RE: $129 auto posts?

in LeoFinance3 years ago

I have heard of users with large stake downvoting someone just because they simply do it for fun... without even telling why the post got downvoted! I think that is not a constructive way to help users with less stake on Hive, at least the user has the right to know why his post got downvoted, how can he improve his content whether it is good enough or not and with a mindset already anticipating kind of.... "Oh I think this will be downvoted again!" . This is driving the users away from Hive because of frustrations.

You can't expect everyone to like/agree with your content and even more you can't expect people to always explain themselves. Look at something like youtube or reddit or any other social media with both up and downvotes, there's likes and dislikes there, you shouldn't get discouraged because some people don't like it and downvote there. Just keep going.

Well, if I would have been a newbie, I´ll get discouraged being downvoted especially if I am just having a "Start" on the blockchain... So how would you feel if it happens to you as a newbie and you wouldn´t know what´s wrong with your stuff? Downvoting someone´s content is annoying, unless that post is really not worth the huge reward. Look around and tell me whether all those huge rewards are worth it.. We have a Hive Group that´s been onboarding new users and for us...downvoting is unpleasant. How can you tell a newbie what is wrong with his/her stuff if they do not know the reason, good start eh!...If downvoters do not like the content, then why not leave it alone and do not upvote.

I can't describe other's behaviors. I only know about my own. You can't stop people from downvoting, and standards are just that, standards. Not rules or regulations enforceable to be able to fully stop them, but just guidelines to steer people a certain way.

Haha, they should go onto reddit. I post rarely there(under a different username, rishi556 is my voting only account) and its 90% downvoted. Just gotta toughen up for the internet. Everyone is anonymous and nobody gives a damn about you or what you think. Just keep pushing. Everyone is trying to build THEMSELVES up and some of those people don't care about bringing others down. Best thing to do is stick to your social circle and enjoy things with them(its what I have my twitter for, other than VERY few crypto related things, its just some close friends).

I don't downvote much, but when I do,.. it's probably some call to violent action or hate speech or some weird kkk/ss Nazi flat earth / covid denier bullshit.

And I most definitely will not take the time to explain myself. ^>^

Oh well that is a different thing.. But you know what.. One covid denier was infected with the covid himself and critically ill and almost died.. Now recovered, he is an advocate as a pro vaccine person. We call it here "Querdenker".

Oh well that is a different thing.

Thats where I think the problem starts. You can't just say some downvotes without comments are "justified". Who gets to define that ruleset? What happens when you don't agree with that ruleset?

if you don't like something, just use the "mute" function.

Yes thank you indeed!
