So you’ve caught the Splinterlands bug, your curiosity has led you here, you read my post about the 5 benefits of playing Splinterlands, you also read about everything you need to start, if it’s too late to start and why you’re not bullish enough.

Awesome, congrats you’ve made it this far, at this juncture, I can categorically say you have everything you need to dive into Splinterlands, but there’s one last thing, and after this, you’ll be 100% ready to take the reins of glory in Splinterlands I can assure you. Without any further ado, let’s get to it.

Don’t neglect the Meta!

So you’re playing for a while, you’ve figured out most of its part as the genius you are then you think it’s time to let go and add Splinterlands to one of your many gaming adventure accomplishments like when I finished God of War; Ragnarok and had this feeling of accomplishment then I set it aside to continue with something more exciting.

Well, Splinterlands is not like that, I can bet you that the games evolution can leave you out in the dust if you’re not following up with updates.

Because the game is in a constant state of evolution, there’s always something to improve or experiment with. The game meta you knew six months ago might not be the games meta tomorrow. It actually involves becoming a part of your life.

Don’t underestimate assets

You know how you buy packs but your luck just keeps bouncing back at you and all you seem to be able to pop open are common cards, no gold foils, no rares or legendaries, just annoying cheap ass common cards.

Or you fight your life out in battles all season long and at the end of the two weeks long streak you pop open your rewards to find only measly commons. Can hurt, but don’t be dismayed. I had to learn the hard way.

I had a bunch of cards that I used to call useless before the first Splinterlands bull market, about 1/3 of them, I ended up giving them out, then the bull run came and their prices mooned, useless cards became hot cakes and I missed out on them.

Asides finding out that every card has its use at some point in the game, every card can come in handy at anytime, could be used to promote your game, or could just be held till God knows when.

Overextending Early On

It’s tempting to buy a ton of cards or invest heavily in assets right off the bat, but pacing yourself is key. Understand the game, the market, and what you enjoy before going all in.

A little bit of advice I wish someone told me when I first started my adventure here was to make use of the rental market more than buying packs or buying individual cards.

Rent cards for the game, buy packs for the culture, buy individual cards for the fame. Don’t say I did nothing for you.

Embrace Community and Tournaments

Stepping into Splinterlands without tapping into its community and tournaments from the onset is like exploring a treasure island without a map.

Yes, diving into guilds and participating in tournaments might seem daunting at first, with visions of seasoned players dominating the scene. Yet, these platforms are goldmines of learning and opportunities for growth.

Guilds offer a sense of belonging, assistance, and collective growth. They are the backbone of your Splinterlands adventure, providing support and insights that no solo journey can.

Balance Is Key

Remember, the heart of Splinterlands lies in the thrill of the battle, the joy of collecting, and the excitement of being part of something larger.

So, while you strategize, trade, and aim for the top, don't forget to revel in the fun. Let your battles be fierce but filled with joy, let your trades be savvy but exciting, and let your journey through Splinterlands be one of wonder and amazement.
