Achieving daily goals will translate into monthly winning and the overall achievement of my goal at the end of the year. Breaking these down in bits makes it easier for me to keep track of my progress.
A lot has been happening in the new year already, and sometimes we even feel a force of distractions pulling us away from what we hope to achieve for the year. Regardless, I have been intentional and purposeful about achieving certain goals for the year.
The first of them is the desire to acquire some musical knowledge. Music is life and a part of my passion in life. I had been a chorister since I was 7 years of age before some challenges caused me to backslide; by now I could have gone far and achieved a lot with that knowledge; nevertheless, it is not too late to pick up this dream from where I have halted it.
Making this a part of my goal for the year, I have been able to get myself registered in a music academy.
Classes are resuming this Tuesday, and hopefully I can become musically certified by the end of 2 months. This is one bold step I have taken in the month of January that is making me feel so happy already. I am getting closer to fulfilling this dream; I indulge in your encouragement and support too.
Another thing I desire to do is to equally work more and improve on my fashion skills. The fashion industry is a very competitive one, and if your skills are not good enough, it will be difficult or totally impossible to turn this passion into a career/dream that will earn you some income. More practice and training are required as the fashion industry keeps evolving. I have been consistent about sewing intentionally about making quality and attractive outfits.
Moving on from this, I have plans to promote the social media pages of my fashion brand and post my works consistently on web2 apps to gain more visibility for my blog. Families and friends have equally been useful in recommending my work to potential clients; sooner than later, I hope to achieve success with monetizing my skills the more.
Another of my year's goals that I have been looking into is furthering my education. While the odds are looking like it will be difficult to achieve this, I want to work contrary to this belief and take a bold step to further my education. Lack of finance has been the reason that my education has been on hold for a long time.
The Little resources I have cannot go round for my school's fees and the ones for my younger ones. Since I already have a B.Sc. certificate in microbiology, I decided to step down and sponsor my younger ones in their preliminary school. It will totally be unfair and a threat to their academic future if I continue to further my education and they step out of school. The preliminary stage of school is important for children at a tender age. It will be difficult for them to acquire knowledge if they grow older than this before I enroll them in school.
This year I want to see how I can manage resources to go round for both my schooling and theirs simultaneously. I have only two little ones in high school now. Having raised and graduated two of them through the university earlier. I feel so delighted that I was able to raise two of my siblings through school up to the university level. These two are now graduates, and I cannot be less grateful. Paradventure, they get some good jobs now; they will also be able to assist me with raising these other two of our younger ones. For now, I can only hope for the best for all of us.
Maybe at this point I can equally make a wish and hope that God sends me a helper or a scholarship for my schooling; miracles are everywhere, and you never can say.
Another dream I have hoped and nursed for this year is to be able to engage in a commercial/plantation farming of some sort. Would it be possible to make some investment that will last us for years?
The potential of growing fruit trees/cash crops. If you have been following my blogs, you will notice that I have gone round town seeking knowledge about which fruit trees will be the best for planting, their market demand, and investment possibilities.
I have looked into growing oranges, mangoes, cashews, and others. Out of these, cashew seems to have more market demand and value. It remains the survey and capital investment needed to get this started with. This isn't a goal achievable in one year, but proper planning and breaking down this goal into smaller bits makes it possible to achieve this long-term goal. All the necessary information for this has been gathered, and the next step is how to raise funding for this project.
From these, you can see how much I have achieved so far in pursuing my goal for the year and dreams/ambitions for life, and I hope to achieve more success as time goes on.

As for the music thingy, is it an online school or how can one participate? Is it for instruments or for singing alone? I also want to take my music dreams seriously this year.
