How does migration directly affect your finances
And to what purpose do people relocate or change their place of living.
Is migration expensive or just mere carrying yourself and properties from one location to another.

Why do people migrate

Starting with why do people migrate might do justice to the topic at hand.
I wish there can be a first hand survey to determine why individual will want to change their home country and place of livelihood.
But a most common reason I have seen among Nigerians is that people migrate in order to change their lives, standard of live and if there is peace and insecurity where they live.
Recently there is continuous out flux of people out of Nigeria who have all gone out seeking greener pastures and looking at it, there are few countries out there that grant citizenship to immigrants. Canada and the UK seem to be some of the prefers destinations

I wish that there can be a personal survey to ask directly from people why they chose to move out of some specific countries to others but regardless of personal reasons a general answer to this might just be that
People migrate in search of jobs or economic situations in which their businesses can thrive.

Recently there has been massive out flux of Nigerian trained medical doctors and nurses out of the country to the point that the government couldn't but take notice od this.
When the economy of w country is good and her people are living fairly well it becomes a center of attraction for migrants seeking better quality of lives.
Massive relocation from Nigeria to other countries has taken a high troll as the economy keeps going down and the hardship keeps multiplying.
People prefer to relocate and go do menial jobs outside the country since even the income from these jobs can pay them well more than the salaries graduates earn in the country.
People will rather take my chances and be a house help or gardener and others outside the country since that earns them more income than an average graduate around here.

How does migration affect individual or country.

The benefits of migration can be viewed as a two way thing.
The receiving country tends to benefit in terms of labour and economic as migrants contribute more taxes and social development of such countries.
There is positive growth in their labour and workforce and human capital development.

Out flux of individuals from a country can be detrimental as both the economic and infrastructural growth of the country is halted.
As the day passes we are begining to witness shortage of doctors, nurses and human labour in the country.
Both the social and economic situation of a country can get bad or even worst if migration issues are not properly addressed.

Migrating individuals may not have much to loss but may be peacefully settled in new places where they cab maximize their potentials.

Migrating is not an easy thing a lot depends, it can turn out a better move or worse than being in one's country. Mostly the reason for migrating is often seeking better opportunities, and greener pastures as we often describe it.

That's totally true, a 50-50 chance of risk.
The educated ones migrating from here usually make sure that have secured jobs and some financial security before migrating...

Migration sometimes is a hard and worse decision cause you know where you're coming from but you don't know how where you are going will looks like.

Exactly dear... And sometimes in worst case it leads to shameful deportation.

So to avoid this kind of situation you need to have good information about where you're going before departure

Exactly dear where you are going and have at hand to sustain you pending the time you will get settled in...
Thank you for this great contribution..

You're welcome

I would say the financial cost of migration is a major drawback. The migrants have to bear the cost of transportation, airfare and medical expenses. They also need to deal with the psychological difficulties of being separated from their friends, family and culture.

But once they are able to deal with the above, the implications of migration progresses to a continual decrease in wages for those who stay behind and an increase in wages for those who migrate. This leads to an increased income inequality between countries.

Furthermore, there is also a risk of brain drain where people with high-skilled jobs move abroad and leave behind unskilled populations.
