Uniformity?! 👀🤮
Got the msg from the AlphaLeo himself that #designfreedom in threads is not desired, they want web2 uniformity! Allegedly for technical reasons, which I think is a cheap excuse in 2024, to replace a lively, creative and visually unusual feed with boring, stiff uniformity, as we already know from all the other feeds out there! Most of you probably don't give a shit anyway, because you're already so used to your content being treated this way everywhere. As a visual guy, I'm disappointed and for me, inleo and being "premium" has lost a lot of value and I wouldn't be surprised if even more formatting options will be removed soon™️ with the prevailing mindset in the #inleo team. But hey, who cares about the opinion of a visually oriented owner/stakeholder!

Think they mentioned that people used it to break stuff on the site as well. So I understand that they wanna focus on other stuff for now.

they should focus on getting the basics fully finished … reading a thread with all comments it‘s still a pita for example, lists, bookmarks aren‘t fully ready yet, shorts don‘t have views and votes on them on profiles, etc etc etc
I think they are improving every week. But there is a lot of moving parts and at the same time they wanna move forward.

no and exactly that is the point! that is what made inleo THE place for me! it was the unique selling point for me!
Sad to hear. But Inleo cant cater to everyone. They have to do what they believe is best for the entire platform.

The beauty of this space is that if you don't like it, you can build your own. So instead of complaining about what another developer is doing or isn't doing that doesn't suite your fancy, then figure out how to build what you want yourself.
