With the creation of the Trump memecoin and the Melania memecoin, Trump has lived up to his reputation. In fact I don't think any other move qualifies as a Trump move like the creation of this memecoin.
This guy has just shown us that he knows perfectly how to be selfish about any situation he finds himself and be the major beneficiary.
Without this memecoin he could have benefited by holding other good existing coins, saying a few favorable things about them and reaping the benefits when his words ignite a bull run.
But this guy poked all of that with his middle finger and simply created his own coin so he'll gain as directly as possible. "What's in it for me?" is what would drive his entire actions.
"What's in it for me directly or as directly as possible?"
Every time we wonder what he would do, the above question should guide us.
Right now the Trump family has this Defi platform called World Liberty Financial, and of course it has a coin which it is selling. That coin should do really well in future, but this is not financial advice.
Going Forward..
ETFs are expected to be approved more easily, so coins should get decent bulls when approved.
It would be more difficult for agencies to attack crypto, and little damming headlines like that.
If Trump's and Melania's memecoin dumps, as is expected, Trump would lose a lot of his influence on the crypto market.
At the end of the day, this guy is a greedy and selfish guy, he might do a lot of good to the market, but chances are he might do some irreparable damage.
We'd all agree he has huge scandalous tendencies. He might just have a crypto-related scandal along the line and bring about some huge bears that might have consequences worse than Sam Bankman-Fried's.
