(This is a post I wrote last year for nodo.xyz when i was their Content Fellow. Technically I'm still their Content Fellow but they have moved on from content to being a Prediction Market.)
JPMORGAN Chase is the biggest bank in USA and the largest in the world by Market Cap. It's CEO is this guy called Jamie Dimon.
Over the years, Dimon has been known to say many demonic things about Cryptocurrencies.
He called it "worthless" In 2021, and later on called it a "hyped-up fraud". Plus other remarks made so far.
But the worst of all which we'd be exposing him for is that which he said in 2022 during a U.S. Senate hearing. He said:
"I've always been deeply opposed to bitcoin, crypto, etc., if I was the government, I'd close it down".
This has to be the very worst thing he could say about Cryptocurrencies. That if he was the United States government, he'll close crypto down!
But does he really mean or believe these things he says? And right now, the answer is pretty obvious that he doesn't mean or believe these things.
Because if he did, the bank which he's a CEO of would "shut down" Cryptocurrencies in it's promises.
The bank wouldn't associate with cryptocurrencies one bit. Or at least he would try to fight it amongst the governing members of the organization. But he hasn't succeeded in doing that because:
• The bank currently lets people purchase cryptocurrencies.
• The bank has released some bullish analysis for Bitcoin:
• The bank has it's own cryptocurrencies called the JPM Coin.
HYPOCRISY!
You might say he probably believes it but still lets the bank associate with cryptocurrencies because it is good for business.
But that would simply mean if he was the government he also wouldn't shut it down but still associate with it because it's good for business as there are many ways cryptocurrencies are beneficial to the government too.
