Closing the No Loss Lottery

board895397__480.jpg

The No Loss Lottery is closing and all funds have been returned.

  • After three years of operation and thousands of Leo in prizes given away, I have sadly decided to close this project and refund all Leo to depositors/participants.
  • It was a good experience for me in creating and running a project on Hive/Leofinance/Cubfinance.
  • I thank the more then 75 participants for investing over 6500 Leo in the pool which generated the prizes.
  • I learned a lot in the process, and it was a good proof of concept endeaver.
  • But it never grew to the size of similar projects on other blockchains, and after 3 years I have decided to close this project and move on to something else.
  • Three years is a long time, and it is hard to close a project which I invested 3 years in, but at some point you need to admit that not enough of the target population wants the product, and stop making it.
  • To those of you who won: congratulations for participating in this proof of concept project, you have been handsomely rewarded with Leo and I with knowlege.

Hi @summertooth
Your welcome.
And thank you for your participation.

It's so sad to see this project goes to an end.
This is the best project with LEO, and I already won 2 or 3 times.
However, the economic situation keeps changing, and you need to move forward with other projects.
Wish you all success with the other ones!

Hi @sodomlv
Thank you for your kind words.
I will take a break and hope to return with new energy for building a better version.

Damn, sorry to hear it. Thanks for giving this opportunity to everyone!

Oh wow, that‘s not a nice easter surprise 😳 sorry to hear that you‘re ending the #nolosslottery and thank you for the work and the winnings up to here 👍🏽 Is there a final ledger with names and numbers somewhere?

Thanks for your participation. Yes the post contains a list of name and amount deposited, and I sent all funds back yesterday.

Very welcome 👍🏽 I‘ve seen the list in the post above, but i meant the ledger you used to post earlier where one could see the ticket numbers and all that. I just wanted to recheck all my transactions with @nolosslottery for myself and came across an old problem that still has no solution. As far as i know there‘s no option anywhere to search through all transactions and filter comfortably other than on the PeakD wallet, but that only works for main chain and not second layer stuff.

Hi @moretea
There is a blockchain explorer for hive-engine at this site: https://he.dtools.dev/
You can search by name, so you can search your transactions there.
Additionally if you sign into Hive-Engine exchange you can open your Leo wallet and see your Leo transactions at the symbol of a box with straightlines.
I hope this helps.
Take Care,
@shortsegments

I appreciate your effort, but i know both options and none of them provides the search/filter i‘m looking for. On hive-engine it is about the same as opening my wallet on leo-finance, no transaction search, no use. dtools is almost there, just one search field more would do the trick … -my account- and -token- is there, but a third field for -transacting account- is missing … then one could search for all transactions between two specific accounts plus the transacted token … i.e. moretea-nolosslottery-leo … this would be massively helpful for everybody, don‘t you think? … let‘s check out if the engine and dtools dev @reazuliqbal is still around and can help with this or at least explain if it should‘nt be possible for some reason … i don't understand why this is not a standard option in the wallets 🤔 i‘ll try and put this topic on the table over on discord.

Now I see your point, and yes that would be great..

I wonder if this is possible with a SQL inquiry.

@geekgirl writes about SQL inquiries on HiveStats, so she is one resource.

I think @daltz also queries blockchain databases so he may have ideas also.

i‘m pretty sure this must be possible somehow … thought about @daltz too, didn‘t know about @geekgirl, great … now that we called them let‘s hope they want to be summoned to take a look 👍🏽

I think @edicted writes bots which do queries also...

didn‘t know that, great 👍🏽

It's too bad to hear that this nolosslottery is ending. I will probably move a part of them over to CUB and use the rest over to get closer to my LEO power goal.

If I had enough coding skill to make this a bot it might still be open. :)

🤔 somebody just told me that @edicted writes bots … 😉🤙🏽

Smart Investments and smart contracts, I like those names and will use them.

I would like your analysis of this project suggestion.
I would like to incentivize people to invest in easydefi by changing the program.

The program would allow investors to buy tokens on hive-engine which can be redeemed at a certain rate at a time.

For example you buy 300 easydefi tokens for 250 LEO tokens.
And in exchange for your 250 Leo tokens and you are allowed to sell 6 Defi tokens per week for 6 Leo.
This means that at the end of 50 weeks you will have sold all 300 defi tokens and earned 300 Leo tokens in exchange for your 250 Leo investment.

I pay investors 20% APR over time, and it is permissionless to a point, in that the investors don't have to wait for me to send them Leo, they just sell the DeFi tokens every week to get their Leo earnings.

Now, I know there will be those tempted to sell back more then six tokens each week, but I will reward those who don't do this 3.0 Leo upvotes for comments with screen shots documenting their Hive Engine token sales of 6 defi tokens and screen shots of their balance remaining. This 3.0 Leo upvote will give 1.5 Leo per week or 75 extra tokens per year and doubling their yearly return to over 40%.

I think this is a win-win.

What do you think?

Thanks

🤔 why should one do clickediclick for 50 weeks when one could just sell back the whole amount and cash out immediately? what means „allowed to“? how are the easydefi tokens sold? wouldn’t you rather take 20% immediately if possible instead of clicking for a year even if the reward doubles? just 10x your above example and tell me who wouldn‘t cash out 500 extra LEO immediately?! 🤔

So it’s to complicated?
Thanks for feedback.

Not just complicated, it's just not working if you can't prevent people from cashing out 20% immediately!

Sorry to see this business close. And sorry to be late in my condolences.

Congratulations @nolosslottery! You received a personal badge!

Happy Hive Birthday! You are on the Hive blockchain for 2 years!
