RE: Doctor Who Worlds Apart Is Looking More And More Like A Cash Grab

I wonder what Richard Garfield would think of this game...

To me it indeed sounds like predatory nonsense. I'm really negatively surprised by the insane prices that some blockchain games are charging for new players, and this one surely is no exception to it!

Perhaps it's time for a blockchain gaming aggregator site: one that ranks blockchain games and certifies them according to the fair value and exitability (not a word, but I think you know what I mean ;)) that they provide.

Well, it's a word now :D
And I agree, a site like that would be awesome and really helpful in the long run. Short term, that's why I'm such a great proponent of Splinterlands. If I decided to quit tomorrow, I'd leave the game with about 3 times the amount I've spent on it...

Well, I suppose there is always a bit of inertia in any game, and even in Splinterlands your Gold-Foil Corrupt Pegasus might not sell immediately.

But inertia due to a not-so-liquid market in places is an acceptable limitation in my book, because it's largely circumstantial. Developers deliberately aggressively locking in money is definitely not acceptable in my book ;).

And the price appreciation of Splinterlands cards has been downright nuts! Only back in June I recall buying an unpopular Golden Wave Runner common for $0.30. And even that card more than doubled in price now!
