In this tutorial, we’ll show you step-by-step how to deposit HIVE into Peerplays DEX. You can then use your deposit to trade the different pairs available (you can buy some PPY!).

STEP #1:

First, you’ll need to create an account on Peerplays DEX (if you don’t already have one).

It’s super simple: head over to ++https://market.peerplays.com/++ and create an account.

Once you click ‘CREATE AN ACCOUNT’, you’ll be asked to choose a ‘Public Account Name’ and a ‘Password.’

Your ‘Publick Account Name’ will be publicly displayed and is your identifier, account name, and memo.

Once you've chosen a ‘Public Account Name’ and a ‘Password’, click ‘ CREATE’.

You have now created an account on Peerplays DEX - congratulations!

This will be your page once you’re in.

STEP #2:

To deposit HIVE into your Peerplays DEX account, you’ll have to make a transfer to @son-account from your HIVE Wallet (or whichever wallet you’re sending your HIVE from). In this example, we’ll be sending 1 HIVE.

IMPORTANT: In the memo, it’s crucial that you add your PeerPlays ‘Public Account Name’.

In this example, it’s ‘peerplaysfan123’. (without quotation marks)

Click ‘SEND’ and then confirm the transaction.

Wait for a few minutes and then click on the ‘three-line icon’ on the top left of the Peerplays DEX screen.

Click on ‘My Assets’

You’ve now received your 1 HIVE. You can now use your deposit to buy and sell on the Peerplays DEX.

STEP #3:

To trade, go to the ‘Exchange’ page by clicking the upper left-hand corner of your screen and choosing ‘Exchange’.

Here’s where you can trade and choose what you would like to buy or sell.

If you would like to sell your HIVE and buy some PPY, simply choose the price at which you want the order to be filled and the quantity of your HIVE. Then click ‘SELL HIVE’ and confirm the transaction.Congratulations, you’ve successfully traded HIVE for PPY! You’re now a proud holder of Peerplays native token, PPY.
