MY INTRODUCTORY POST TO INLEO AND HIVE

in LeoFinance5 months ago (edited)

Hello friends,my name is Philips David.I am highly delighted and privileged to be a part of Hive and Inleo and to introduce myself to you all.I am from Akwa Ibom state located in the Niger-Delta area of Nigeria,my wife is from Delta state also in the Niger Delta area of Nigeria.A unique thing about the Niger-Delta of Nigeria is it's abundance of resources both aquatic and hydrocarbon materials.

I was born at the Apapa Health Center in Lagos where I have lived all my life and I am the first of four children

MY EDUCATION

I started my early education at David Salvage Memorial Primary School,Sari-Iganmu. It was formerly known as Bus Stop Primary,Sari-Iganmu, Lagos. It was located very close to the bus stop at Sari-Iganmu, Lagos the very compound where the Sari Iganmu Police Station is situated now.My primary school had to be relocated because of the road expansion work at Badagry Expressway.A lot of us were relieved when the school was renamed David Salvage Memorial Primary School because we used to be called Bus stop children and we were made fun of by our peers.

I did my secondary schooling at Sari Iganmu Secondary School,Sari-Iganmu, Lagos and I was privileged to be the class captain of my class throughout my secondary school years except for the first year and I was the headboy of my secondary school in my final year of schooling.

On completing my secondary school,I intended studying abroad for my first degree but due to the sanctions placed on Nigeria during the military regime of Abacha,it was difficult to do so.It took some years before I gained admission to study Bsc.Botany and my masters degree in Microbiology at the Lagos State University,Ojo.My most memorable moments at LASU were the "Aluta" years of the schools student union president we fondly called Karl Marx and his comrades AY and Tunde Salau.

MY WORKING LIFE:

I worked at B-Side Medical laboratory in 1995 and I must admit that it was quite interesting.I had to analyze blood, urine, feacal and other samples from people.Funny enough, the highest patronage we usually had was at some weeks after Valentine's day of every year when lots of ladies will come to confirm their fears or reward. My most memorable day was the day I had to stay alone with the copse of the sister to one of my closest friends in secondary school. She was my little friend but she died due to an illness at the lab's hospital. The copse had to be kept away from other patients for some hours before her family members could come. That was my first experience staying with a corpse.

I later worked at Flour Mills of Nigeria PLC,a famous food processing company in Nigeria. While there I carried out protein, moisture, ash, gluten and other analysis on wheat samples,I and my colleagues fondly called ourselves "Lab rats".On some days,I will have to go take samples from a ship that has just arrived and is berthed at the port in Apapa along the Atlantic at 1 am or 2am in the morning. Its usually scary because any error or slip might be fatal.I later left Flour Mills of Nigeria to start my own business so as to be self employed.

MY LIKES AND DISLIKES

I love meeting and associating with humble and down to earth people who are honest sincere industrious and hardworking.I love nature,I love being organized and I admire organized people.I love teaching and transferring knowledge,I love public speaking

I don't like being around proud arrogant people,I don't like double or triple standards.I love giving attention to details.I see challenges and risks as a part of life,I am thrilled each time I overcome a challenge
I am an Ibibio man and we are known in my country for good nutritious soups like Afang soup,Edikang-Ikong,Afia afere(white soup),Atama soup,Afere Nkong(vegetable soup)etc.
The word, afere means soup in my language but I learned that in my wife's language it means plate. My wife is from Delta State and teaching her how to cook these soups wasn't easy.

HOW I GOT TO KNOW ABOUT HIVE:

A family friend @beauty197 told me about HIVE about a year ago when she was complaining about a person she had persuaded to join HIVE but he refused. She told me the benefits of HIVE and how it has impacted her life.Just like that person, funny enough,I was hesitant too.I later asked her about it again and this time my interest was hightened when she told me the details of what she has been able to achieve with HIVE, the good part is the content writing and the daily interactions with people from various background and orientation.I never knew much about threading but with HIVE, I have learned a lot and I love writing about my daily experience.

MY INLEO THREADING EXPERIENCE

I enjoy making threads on Leofinance and each time someone comments on my thread,it makes my day.I am filled with much joy whenever I get votes for my thread and I must express my gratitude to the friends I have made on Leofinance like @fokusnow @uzoma24, @taskmaster4450le,@luchyl and so many others.I appreciate your kind advice, your comments and managing me despite the teething problems I had while learning to thread.
My day isn't complete if I don't thread a day.

SUMMARY:

Having seen the numerous benefits and the potential of HIVE and Leofinance, I regret not joining on time and so I am determined to avail myself of the numerous benefits of these platforms.I will want to make my contribution to improving and positively impacting the lives of everyone on these platforms. My goal is not to stop with this first post but to write as many posts daily as my circumstances will allow.I will like to see HIVE coin,Leo token and the others moon and take me to the moon,I wont forget to mention this,I will like to see my wallet grow fat as this will make me happy too
