Luck: Preparation Meets Opportunity

Can we add consistency to the list? Because consistency helps you prepare to meet opportunities. I am sure most of us here can relate to this, we see people that are successful and all of a sudden we tag them to be lucky people, forgetting that there was a lot of work and preparation put behind the scenes. Whenever I start feeling lazy and feeling like Bruno Mars in his hit single, “Lazy song”, I try to remind myself , what if this is the day I finally make my Million dollars.The power of consistency can never be over emphasised, some people get lucky and don’t have to work really hard to achieve what they want to achieve but some people have to work extra hard.

One of the best ways you can be prepared for opportunities is to know how to identify them first, because some people get opportunities but dont know its an opportunity because they can’t identify it as an opportunity. Crypto is a great example, and let me chip in the Hive ecosystem as another example. We are in this space and showing up every day because we are trying to prepare ourselves for the greater opportunity ahead. Look at the Hive space and the Web 3.0 social media space, we are opportune to be on the space before the rest of the world discovers it or before we start having a lot of knock offs.

Learning is a great way to be lucky, it gives you exposure and teaches you a lot about new things especially in your field, imagine being into the crypto space and not bothering yourself with learning, all you do is come and buy bitcoin or any other crypto then go. In the crypto space there are lots of things happening in the environment, crypto is not just all about buying an asset and storing value anymore, we have a lot of things happening in the crypto space, we have the DeFi, NFT, DAO, airdrops and more. Currently there is something called testnet, its a place where you test and get rewarded with possible airdrops, some people are lucky to get the airdrops when they do the right thing while some don’t.

Lots of people have made life changing money from airdrops and other things because they educated theirselves enough to recognize an opportunity when they saw one. You never can tell what your opportunity will be, but don’t worry, it’s on its way. You just have to prepare yourself for it, but don’t worry, people will still call you lucky regardless.
