You can't watch two TVs with two different internet connections, right?
After scratching my head for last few hours, I thought, I should post it here, and may be you guys know it better and help me understand this ? I have come to my Native place, as Mom was not doing well, and I thought, I would watch her and if needed take for a doc consultation. So yesterday I was watching this movie and it worked fine. But this morning, when I tried to access Netflix on TV, it asked me to set up Netflix household for this TV, which sounded very new to me. So far, I was aware only about the plan, and I remembered to have taken the best plan, so that, we can see from multiple devices, any locations. Quickly checked if that has got changed, and confirmed it remains same.
Then I went ahead and asked to confirm this TV to be part of my household, after which they sent a mail and I verified it and then it worked.
But the curious me, could not sit idle on this and tried to figure out, if this is a new feature rolled out by Netflix.
The wordings are so clever , it does not clearly say, that, Netflix Household can connect to multiple internet or you can have multiple Household. It says, you set it using a TV device only and all other devices on the same internet connections can be part of your Netflix Household. So from that, I understood, I cannot use two TV at two different locations using two different internet, right ?
But then this did not match at all to my understanding. If I sign into a new TV like at a hotel or holiday rental, that would definitely not be on my home internet, right ?
Seems they have Triggered Warning with this movie by rolling out this new feature to me, and I will have more surprises soon at my other home. If any one knows this clearly, please help me understand. Worst case, I believe we will have to take two plans, may be two standard plans, as 4k is any way not used.

We just watched Trigger Warning two nights ago. Jessica Albie kicked some butt in that movie.
In the past, we were able to allow both my son and sister-in-law to use our subscription to Netflix in their home. In an instant that all changed and we started to be charged extra for both of them. this charge showed up on our bill with no prior warning. You would think that if a change in their policy to this extreme were going to happen they would notify you.
Exactly, they quietly roll out such features, that would benefit them, and never bother about us.
That seems to be the way things are now, with little regard for the consumer.

No, temporary sign-ins bypass the Netflix Household verification process.
This household term is also new to me...still we can connect devices according to the plan package... recently they added a new plan also ...

They are definitely rolling out this new feature to prevent people sharing credentials to other parties, but it affects some genuine cases.
The subscription model sure is getting goofy, or always was. Imagine buying a monthly subscription and just giving your password to as many people as you want. I never understood that as a sustainable revenue model but as a way to get everyone hooked while you figure out the enforcement process with changing ip addresses.
The latest change makes it cheaper, but you pay to watch commercials? Or you pay more for no commercials? How about I pay none and pirate everything like everyone else?
As for the family thing, you would think that would be a concurrent model but that would open it up to the same exploitation and inability to enforce.
I don’t know what to tell you mane but they must have those details on a customer support portal. All I know if this is the straw that is breaking the camels back with me and I am just cancelling them all 1-by-1 when they come up for renewal.
There is no clarity in the support portal as well, looks like, they are cleverly rolling out this feature.

It seems a bit annoying. It seems like Netflix's new "Netflix Household" feature restricts the use to devices on the same internet connection. This might prevent using multiple TVs at different locations under one account, even with the highest plan. Though it is seemed as a trick by Netflix to prevent that the subscription of one person should not be exploited to many, and if it does its there loss. Its quite like a game !!

Sounds like Netflix's new household feature caught you off guard. It's very frustrating when tech changes without clear explanations. Hopefully, someone here can clarify how it works with different internet setups. I barely watch Netflix I would have helped

This same thing happened to my friend and what I could spot out is the fact that they do not make their informations clear enough
They wrote a different thing on the platform but now they are doing something different
They made it seem like there are no difficult steps involved when you want to connect your TV to your Netflix account
It’s very annoying when they write something or release a memo and someone something else. It is clearly stated that you can use your Netflix household with any TV but why change it?
Why didn’t they make it clear in that write up?

We were sharing accounts before and got hit by the household message as well. From my understanding, they want to remove this practice, so they just limited it to the household. I believe there is an option to tell them that you are on a vacation so you can use your account in a different location for a short time.
Its been ages i watch Netflix, i was dame addicted to this movie app, i had to delete it just for me to focus on other things lolzz
