No, not from India but I thought you were! I only have linguistic skills in English and the Puerto Rican dialect of Spanish.

When I was in the military as a young man, I made it a point to learn a little bit of the native language to each country where I served.

As HIVE has people from all over the world, I try to be considerate of other's mother-tongue. I think it is fantastic that many folks post articles in both English and their native language. This makes HIVE more inviting in my opinion.

Since I comment much more than I author articles, every once in a while I will try to find out a person's home. I then, with the assistance from Google Translate, respond in their home-country's language.

Normally it is a short comment as Google Translate is okay, but sometimes literally translates a colloquial expression from English!

Hopefully choosing Hindi over Urdu was okay. Was not sure whether you were from the North or Southern part of India.

That's very inspiring sir.

Yes I'm from India . Although Hindi isn't my mother language I can read and write it :)

I am from South India and Kannada is my mother tongue. :)

Very happy to hear that you were in military, I have huge respect for them irrespective of which country you serve for .
