Saturday Savers Club in Manchester
Next Friday, 7 June, 2024, I'll be speaking about the Saturday Savers Club at an economic justice conference in Manchester. I met wih my co-facilitator yesterday to plan the workshop and get her signed up to Hive.
It was great talking to someone who knows nothing about Hive or blockchains or cryptocurrency. It really helped to focus on the key things to get across in an hour and a half.
Both the workshops are full, which is great, I've written the handout and I've worked out how to use the onboarding links. We're going to include a little quiz asking participants how many people in the UK hold crypto. Can you have a guess? It was much more than I thought and seems to be doubling each year.
SPI for Sale
2,500 SPI have been bought back by the @spinvest fund. SPI is about 5.5 HIVE now. What would you be most interested in:
- a second subscription savings plan where you could buy SPI over a longer period of time.
- an SPI mini, backed by the 2,500 SPI, and available for 1 HIVE or so?
There are other options including burning them, air-dropping to existing holders, and putting on Hive-Engine.

- EDS, EDS-VOTE, EDSD - Everything going well here, massive increase in delegations to @eds-vote, lots from Saturday Savers which is fabulous to see. We've also set up a curation trail for eds-vote which supports Savers so a nice circular economy. I'm buying EDSD with my earnings from my side-hustle and posting. (More about side-hustles).

Blogging - I enjoyed the rewards from the week before 😍 I'm about half way to my HP savings target this year, and on target for my HBD savings, too, now I know how to gt hold of them. The HIVE price seems a little low, so I'll be taking a leaf out of @hoosie's book and setting up a few trades.
Saturday Savers Club - 2024 Launch and FAQs. Sixty registered savers now. Anyone can join at any time by commenting with their goals on the weekly post on the @eddie-earner account (also follow @eddie-earner for news about EDS). Our first subscription savings plan is on point too - the next distribution is tomorrow!
HSBI - HIVE basic income - I'm growing these through sponsoring HPUD and other challenge posts over on Saturday Savers Club. It'll have a nice boost this week.
What's New
Mainly I've been recovering from my cold and something's happened to the weather! Last weekend was brilliant, yesterday we had torrential rain the whole day, and it was cold and windy. So pleased our family wedding had a good weekend last week!
