2021 Australian Silver Lunar Ox Coin

in LeoFinance3 years ago (edited)

The year 2021 celebrates the Year of the Ox. Those born under the sign of the Chinese lunar ox in 2021, 2009, 1997, 1985, 1973, and every 12th preceding year are said to be kind, intelligent, honest, and reliable. Admired for their strong work ethic, logical mindset, and calm demeanor, they are recognized as great leaders.

Perth Mint's Australian Lunar Series III bullion coins portray the animal themes from the Chinese Lunar calendar. The reverse design changes each year based on the Chinese lunar calendar. In addition to the annual design change, many investors love that the coins' select mintage limits create the potential for even greater investment return in the form of a numismatic premium appreciation. This series is so popular, the 1 oz Gold and Silver Lunars are now instant sell-outs every year.

2021 Australian Silver Lunar Ox Coin

2nd year of issue for the Australian Lunar Series III coins, contains 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure silver in BU condition, issued a face value of $1 (AUD) by Australia.
(Yes, I broke the capsule. I'll replace it when I have the time.)

Queen Elizabeth II features on the obverse of 2021 1 oz Australian Silver Lunar Ox Coins. This sixth-generation bust of the Queen captures Elizabeth II in right-profile relief with the George IV State Diadem Crown on her head. This is the first portrait of the Queen used on Australian coins since 1966 to include her neckline and shoulders in the design field. The portrait was created by Jody Clark in 2015 for the Royal Mint of England.

An ox and its young calf are shown in the reverse field of 2021 Australian Silver Lunar Ox Coins. The adult calf is standing under a large branch from a cherry blossom tree while its young calf stands nearby looking up to the adult ox. Large and powerful, oxen have been used for centuries as working animals on farms.

A definite improvement on the previous series Ox I believe, oh my, looks as the capsule is damaged.
"Them's the breaks."

Always, with love 🤗 🌺 💖

Yeah, I accidentally dropped it on the floor when I took it out. It is a special capsule, so I don't know how to replace it. I'll just use one on those, lol!

Hugs and Kisses , sis 🥰🌺🤙!!!!

nice silver coin.

Whoa!!
@hooiyewlim, you visited!!!
Hahaha.
What I did I do to warrant your visit!
Hehehe.
I thought you were just interested in Malaysian coins and coins in that area.
Well, this one is from Australia made by the Perth Mint. I am glad you think it is nice!
Come by more often.
And we will exchange notes.
Have a great day!

!LUV is in the Air and Soon Silver Won't Be Found Anywhere, Maybe I'm a Poet and I just Don't Know It....Ms. Saver @silversaver888
See What I Did Here ???

Yeah, it seems that even the US Mint is somewhat short!
Huh? But maybe not, @stokjockey.

Artwork on all the pieces you have presented have been dazzling in both gold and silver.

Collectors dream to have @silversaver888

Thank you, @joanstewart.
It is a way of saving money.
And what fun it is!
You get to hold it, and play with it.
And most importantly... it is yours.
Slow and steady, is the name of the game.
Before the year is over,
I'm sure I would have saved lots of coins!

Fun collection with value to have and keep, only coins I have in silver are ones my Mom used to boil clean and place into the Christmas puddings....

So your Mom put silver coins into Christmas puddings!!!
WOW, that is something new I learned today!
That's an idea. Maybe at Christmas, I could make puddling and start my own tradition!!!
Why thank you, @joanstewart!!!

I still have the old tickey and sixpence used every year, boiled and used then given equivalent value, coins were put away for the next years Christmas pudding.

Perhaps it is overdue going into what I have, now looking at value South African Coins

Perhaps you will convert me into a silver saver 😄

Yay!!!
That would accomplish my goal!!!
Hugs and Kisses 🥰🌺🤙!!!!

A "dollar" saved!!!!
'Thanks for checking this out, @pankajkabdwal!
Have a nice day!

I like the halfies...need to pick one up this year. I don’t recall if I got a 2020. Gonna suck to pay the premium on it if I don’t check it out and jump soon.

I hope they are still available. The last time I looked they were out of stock.
Stack on, @jackofcrows!

I am guessing the Ox coins are only released every 12 years and on the other years, they release the other zodiac animals? Seems like a good way to add some diversity in what they release.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes, they release each animal every 12 years!
This is the third release Lunar 111.

Thank for you checking this out, @jfang003!

Hmmm... that's some years from now. Hehehe!

Hugs and Kisses sis 🥰🌺🤙!

Yes, but the time will pass quickly. I don't like to think how old that will make me, lol! Hugs and kisses back at you, sis!🤗😘🌸💕

Goodness, I'd be so old before this series is over!!!

I love the Australian Lunar Series, the Perth Mint produces some of the finest Silver rounds.
Sorry to see the capsule cracked on you @silversaver888, look how it protected the coin from damage....thats a win my friend!🤗

That is exactly what I said... thank goodness for air-tites! But this one is specially made for it, I think, because it is different from those that I buy. Oh well, a regular one will do. It is just silver, hehehe!
