I'm an old steemit user but new to Hive. I used steemit for 1 year and Half but then went offline for two years because of my health issues I got from my 9 to 5 job.
I decided to work from home, So I started working on different projects. Company I was working with acquired by another company and they reduced my mothly earnings to half and removed a lot of projects from my dashboard. So it was not enough for me to pay my bills and do other stuff. So I decided to be back to steemit when bitcoin price blew up. I started posting on steemit but it felt so odd and I saw no engagement on posts. So I lurked around and finally saw Hive website link in someone's profile. Since then I've been a regular user on hive.
My hive journey started two months ago, I really enjoy staying here irrespective of some bad experiences. I sold all my steem and invested in #cubdefi. People from @leofinance discord helped me how to stake on cubdefi very patiently. I learnt a lot from this great community.
I grew up at my grandpa's house, my grandpa told me last year he wants to stay with me when I'm doing well in life. I wanted to settle down as soon as possible since I can take care of my grandpa. I wanted to buy him some gifts and offer better health care but I couldn't just do it. He passed away two months ago. I felt so bad, that I didn't give anything to him. He is like my another father. I couldn't take care of him, due to my financial situation. So I decided to work much harder than before until I settle down and help others.
I'm also dealing with anxiety and depression, I'm glad that I could engage with other people here when I feel lonely. Big thanks to this ecency app.
My target is to get 1000 hive power by end of next month, so I could be more engaged and do some curation.

Thanks rilo. I have around 500 hp Including my both accounts. I'm thinking to buy some hive with my staking rewards. 1k hp looks good. I should post more and engaged here. Hopefully I reach my goal.
That is truly awesome my friend! I am almost 700 HP myself and I was hoping to hit 1k before JULY. I should probably be implementing some better posting strategies and start consistently creating better quality content. Do you have a standard daily achievement for posting, comments, and upvotes? I try to at the very least engage with one person each day on Hive. When you said that you suffer from depression and anxiety I knew that I wanted to connect with you and let you know that I am going through it too. Maybe we can come up with a collaboration post or something to help drive the 1k HP home.
Also engage in contests. I won two contents last week. I've got 25HP. Contests are better way to get some hp
Trying to post long posts and daily 2 to 3 in different communities. Posts over 1000 words get better engagement. And make some good conversations in the comments. Like you just did. You are close to 1k hp than me. I think it's easy. Just work one month harder. 10-12 hours a day.
