F1 Delta Time - Play to Earn - peak into rewards

in LeoFinance3 years ago
Hello Everyone, I want to talk about the relatively new game that is a currently a great way to earn crypto. It is still in early stages, without too many players. Actual gameplay has been rolled out 4 weeks ago, but only a qualifying mode for one track, and we are still waiting for proper multiplayer / head-to-head racing on 4 iconic tracks (for start) - Monaco, Spa-Francorchamps, Monza and Silverstone. All very demanding and beautiful in their own way.

I have written Intro post and a quick glance with a guide to the website and revv ecosystem in the last few days, but now I will write more about the rewards and what I've been able to get with lower tier gear.

Quick summary of the rewards system:

Time Trials (TT) - depends on the number of laps runned each week - more laps more rewards. They are splitted into 4 tiers (We are not sure, but we think it is equal between all tiers), top 10 are rewarded.
Elite Time Trials (ETT) - predetermined rewards, unlimited free number of laps to run - top 20 get rewards - IN order to participate you need to stake particular amount of REVV (from 2,500 to 100,000) depending on the tier you want to participate - rewards are much higher than in regular time trial runs!

GP Racing - you pay for each run (10-40 REVV) - after the even ends top 10 overall times are considered for REVV and trophy prizes. And positions in different weathers (4 of them) can bring you additional rewards in terms of Keys (packs for 2020 season equipment).

Where is REVV at the moment?

In the moment of writing this post the price of revv is $0.057; and for 1 ETH you would get 19750 REVV. (Just before the ETH jump it was 11500REVV for 1 ETH). I personally expect that value of REVV is going to rise with new features developed within the ecosystem, as well as being listed on bithumb tomorrow (January 7).

Play to Earn? Where are the rewards?

If you've seen the previous articles - in order to play you need to buy some NFTs (this will change soon) and there will be option to rent equipment for 7 days period.

Anyways, the team has just released official announcement regarding rewards but I'll be covering my experience in the past few months here.

In order to really excel and be a top competitor in (E)TT you need to have relatively large garage and to do all the trials and errors to understand every single track.

Now lets see those rewards already!

When there is no ETT running rewards and competition in regular time trials increases, but placing 6th/7th in tier C and tier D was giving me about 400-700 REVV depending on the week.

Last week I was running 3 tiers and the total reward pool was about 4000k REVV to be split between 40 players.

In ETT round 4 I finished in tier C 12th and 16/17th in tier D. And my rewards combined in these two are 1180 REVV and additional 2 common keys for participating in elite TT (main sale price = 800REVV per key)!
With 140 REVV spending for 14 additional runs in tiers C and D.
1180 - 140 = 1040 REVV and 1600 REVV value in keys for being low in the leaderboard. My excuse is that my garage is pretty skim and I get impatient with all the testing.

Now, I mentioned ATARI and Animoca partnership! At this moment rewards for ETT round 5 are given in keys and ATRI token, more details in the announcement. Tiers that I am competing.
Price of ATRI at the moment of writing = $0.114.

Currently I am placed 10th in the Tier C and 16th in tier D. with 20+ points in tier C and about 14 in tier D - if I go over 20 points after 2 weeks I will get another 2 F1 Deltatime common keys (valued at 1600 REVV).

### Let's get racing!

This is where things start to get lucrative!
Unlike Time Trials/ETT in GP racing your skill to get the best out of your car is VERY,VERY- VEEERY important! Even tho the game looks silly with just three command buttons (throttle ↑ ; Brake ↓ and DRS boost [space]) it is highly skill based and requires some practice. On top of that it is highly addictive, nerve wrecking and rewards are very generous.

Here is the link to the youtube video where you can see how it looks like at the moment and new tracks will be rolling out soon!

We've covered the basics of racing lets see those rewards!
As I mentioned there are 4 weathers giving nice rewards, but overall times give you liquid revv and trophies!

Main sale values of the keys are as follows:

Legendary Key: 38,000 REVV
Epic Key: 18,000 REVV
Rare Key: 3,800 REVV
Common Key: 800 REVV

I manged to get 2nd position in most tiers, except in tier A where I finished 3rd overall two times.

Totalling in 11/12 Trophies (4 tiers and 3 weeks) with 4th week currently ongoing, and amazing 51,200 REVV!
Now given that I've been topping 2nd in most of the weathers as well I've got some nice 2020 key rewards as well. Totalling:
1 Epic Key / 43 Rare Keys / 24 Common Keys which totals the value of about 200,000 REVV just in keys! or $14,250 for 3 weeks of playing the highly addictive and well designed game! If that is not PlayToEarn I don't know what it is! :)

F1 Delta Time seasons 2019 & 2020

Given that I've already bought number of keys planned for the next season (2020) I've decided to sell some of these rewards as well. Key opening for 2020 season is scheduled for January 8; but the date for main sale is still not determined.

I will be selling my keys with 10% discount until and during the main sale. If you are already HIVE/LEO user you might get additional 5% discount.
I will accept following currencies: REVV / ETH / ATRI / HIVE / LEO / BTC.

It is not sure when the racing for 2020 season is starting, and if you would like to start racing in 2019 season, feel free to contact me for advice or to purchase cars/equipment.
It is worth noting that 2019 and 2020 season will be separated - Cars from 2020, will not be able to compete in 2019 season.

Be safe and REVV IT UP!

So you’re telling us you earned USD 15k in 3 weeks playing this game ?
I might be a bit too paranoid but I don’t buy it.

@khazrakh have you heard about this one or it’s full bs ?

Interesting, thanks for tagging me!
Haven't heard of it yet, I'll take a good look at it ASAP.

Since you don't believe here are the rewards from one of the GP list of winners and their rewards. :)

Yes. Tho rewards were more like 3.2k in liquid REVV; and keys in value of 12k. Which can be staked alongside trophies to generate more revv. Or can be sold on market.

I doubt that rewards will continue to be this high, and will scale down with time and new racing categories, but I'll enjoy the ones they are offering now. :)

Based on your experience, how much a new player would have to invest in order to be competitive and get some rewards ?

Depends where you want to compete.
At the moment you can get keys for 2020 season - either on secondary market/opensea/private sale or wait for the main sale. Prices are listed in the post. But competition will not start until late January.
To start racing (tier D/C) in 2019 season, at the moment you need about 0.5-1eth to get a car/driver/set of tyres and some parts.

Thank you for taking the time to answer.
With the entry cost I understand a bit more about the potential gains. Please keep us posted with your progress :)

well, to be honest, when I entered the game - there was nothing but a whitepaper and a plan how the game would look like - that changed drastically. I entered with $200.
During presale in December, you could buy 20 common keys - that would give you 10 cars and 1 drivers - and 60 parts/tyres. that is more than enough. I bet you could start with 3-4 keys.

Of course when the racing started revv went from being 0.018 to 0.055-0.06 and common key went from ~20 to $45/$50 in the main sale.
WIll do! :) this weekend two other events are finishing up, i'm looking good to snatch another 2nd place, and maybe have a shot at some 1st places. :)

I wonder if they are going to make it easier to enter but not killing the current economy.
Go get them !

Great and indepth post mate but seriously, it all looks sooooo complicated lol ! In all seriousness, how much would you need to spend to start up and be competitive please?

IT is a bit overwhelming, but it's not that complicated when you start revving. :)
At the moment you can get keys for 2020 season - either on secondary market/opensea/private sale or wait for the main sale. Prices are listed in the post. But competition will not start until late January.
To start racing (tier D/C) in 2019 season, at the moment you need about 0.5-1eth to get a car/driver/set of tyres and some parts - depends on your efforts to find/assemble cars.
I usually have several bundles on opensea for either tier D (~6000 points) or just the essential kit for racing car/driver/tyre but you can buy all parts separately as well - but it takes some time to get a grasp on what you want and need.

Appreciate the reply! I will take a look and try to be patient :-)

Hello. I tried signing up for this and I'm very lost. I have no idea of what to do. Help please
