Probably. I'll be testing it again maybe I get more answers from personal experience :)
My father says drinking from a straw tends to be weak men. While drinking without a straw and only use the mouth are real men. Its an old saying but technically speaking using a straw the person does less to get the drink into their system. While without a straw they have to do more by holding up the cup and place it near the mouth in a position in order to drink. The more effort means the man is willing to do more in life. Generally speaking... I guess this all sounds crazy but reading your conversation this just came up in my head.
A very interesting idea. I guess I understand you. Your example aims to show the principle that "the more you overcome difficulties, the more you want to keep doing it"
