We are seeing a lot of changes since the beginning of 2020. The situation with COVID lock downs made the remote work situation commonplace. This was out of necessity.

In this video I discuss how technology precedes human embracing of it. We also can take a look at the longer term trends and see where crypto is going to play into that.

I'm a work from home person and crypto currency came to my life as a blessing. During covid I was not active with crypto platforms but at the end of 2020 I decided to switch my job with home based job and working for blockchain platform.

For me work from home gave me additional time to spend time on crypto in the quiet moments, unfortunately I am expected to back at the office fulltime again. I think a lot of employers are very short sighted about this, just look at the effect work from home has on a greener planet, no carbon emissions from all the cars used for commuting!!

I heard Biden say it's time for everybody to return to workplaces so commercial real estate doesn't suffer. 🙄 This is what they need to stop is this artificial stopping things from occurring that are naturally occurring.

I agree and in the process we and the earth suffer. (I used my commuting time to exercise!)

Working from home I can earn about 3 dollars a day. It's good for passive income, I just wish I can make better use of my Laptop !

The lockdown turns into a blessing in disguise that speed up the remote work. Previously, regulators were so strict, but the situation left them with no choice but to permit schools to go for online learning.

I agree. It's hard to change from remote work to back to physical. Technology is amazing and I can't really see myself going back in person for most things. I hope something like VR works out all the other details that we might need.

This is where my interest lies in cryptocurrency and blockchain: liberating people from the archaic work model. It simply doesn't have to be the way it is, and people are investing the vast majority of their lives going to these places and doing things they don't want to do and many of them that frankly don't need to be done. Work is the majority of the in-person interaction that people have. Some people refer to the company as post-tribalism. Because we have become so isolated, I think people really crave that connection with others in their communities, and I think it will be interesting to see how we start to innovate to solve that problem. Biden got up and told employers it's time to get people back to their work buildings because work from home would be bad for commercial real estate.🙄 But when I think about our isolation problem, I envision fun new places where people go in their towns and cities where they do things and interact with others. I often see people reminiscing about Blockbuster because it was a place where you just went and were around others. Currently the places we have for being with others in our communities are pretty measly: bowling alleys, arcades, a few roller rinks, bars 👎🏼, breweries... Let's innovate in that area.

I look forward to people becoming hip to the possibilities of what cryptocurrency can do and getting to work on solving problems. I look around me and everything is SO far behind what it needs to be. I see problems, problems, problems that blockchain can solve.

Summary:
The video discusses the impact of technology and the work from home movement, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The speaker highlights that while the shift to remote work was accelerated by the pandemic, the tools for remote work have been available for quite some time. The discussion delves into the future of remote work, the role of technology in facilitating this shift, and the lasting effects on various industries. Additionally, the speaker touches on the role of cryptocurrency and its potential to further revolutionize the work landscape by enabling remote work and decentralization.

Detailed Article:

In this video, the speaker delves into the evolution of remote work and the underlying technologies that have facilitated this shift. The discussion commences by acknowledging that while the COVID-19 pandemic acted as a catalyst for the widespread adoption of remote work, tools such as video conferencing have been in existence for a considerable time. The conversation emphasizes the idea that the pandemic merely accelerated the acceptance and adoption of these technologies, rather than introducing entirely new concepts.

Furthermore, the speaker highlights the changing dynamics of the workforce, with statistics showing a growing preference for remote or hybrid work setups. While acknowledging that not everyone can or wants to work remotely, the speaker suggests that there is a significant segment of the population that favors a remote or hybrid work model.

The discourse then transitions into the broader implications of remote work on various sectors, particularly emphasizing the impact on commercial real estate and the necessity for companies to adapt to the new work paradigm. The speaker underscores the role of technology in enabling remote work, noting that advancements in mobile technology have made work even more accessible and flexible. This shift towards mobility is expected to continue evolving, potentially leading to a future where Virtual Reality (VR) and holograms play a more prominent role in work environments.

The discussion further expands to incorporate the role of cryptocurrency in revolutionizing the work landscape. The speaker posits that the integration of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and decentralized systems can further enhance the remote work experience. Cryptocurrency is presented as a disruptor that can amplify existing trends such as remote work and decentralization, ultimately altering social, economic, and geographic dynamics.

Moreover, the speaker reflects on the potential future of work, envisioning a scenario where cryptocurrency and its associated technologies become pivotal in driving remote work ecosystems. The decentralized nature of blockchain and the versatility of cryptocurrencies are highlighted as key enablers for individuals to work from anywhere with just an internet connection.

In conclusion, the speaker emphasizes the transformative potential of cryptocurrency in reshaping traditional work structures and fostering a new era of remote and decentralized work environments. The video serves as a thought-provoking exploration of how technology, particularly cryptocurrency, is poised to redefine the future of work and workforce dynamics.
