My Hive Goals 2024 - Update 27.03.2024

Monthly Updates

My intentions were to update about my Hive goals bi-weekly and then divide the tokens into two groups. Every group would be updated monthly but now that I've cut out building some tipping tokens because I felt that my comment section became a bit too spammy to my liking, I guess I'm back to monthly updates. I guess I can update extra when something changes and is worth mentioning sooner, such as the milestone I hit a few days ago. This update is one where I celebrate reaching a 2024 goal very early, although very unexpectedly, lol.

I'm a PIMP whale now! - Goal Reached!

My goal for 2024 was get from 50k PIMP to 100k PIMP tokens as I really wanted to hand out a fourth tip of PIMP every day, which is worth 20 PIMP a pop! I have to tell you getting to the first few goals I set from tipping threshold to the next one was doable and I managed to get there quite fast. The last one to 50k was a slower one because the price had gone up quite a bit by then and I couldn't afford to buy in that big, so I took baby steps to get to 50k.

And then the next step was to get 100k and add a fourth tip because I run out of tips most days and of all tipping tokens, PIMP is my favourite one to hand out. I didn't expect to be there anytime soon considering the price that went up a lot since I started buying and sometimes my limited funds available alongside with other Hive goals.

Opportunity

But I smell an opportunity when I see one and this is what happened a few days ago. I won the 100 Hive in the Hive auction for just 3.49 Hive in total (bidding and the final cost). First I bought a bit of HSBI shares from it because I'm building towards the 5000 shares and @bulliontools is holding a nice silver raffle in a month or so, therefore it's a no brainer to buy some shares for us both every week or so. But I left most Hive available in my wallet for now.

The PIMP price had dipped a lot!

I was first in shock seeing my wallet value in HE down this much but I also know just a simple small trade can cause the value to drop or rise a lot. I noticed that it was caused by the PIMP price this time and had a better look. I think it went down by 55% or so (I forgot exactly) and then I started to do some calculations to see if I could get to the 100K with the Hive I had left. It turned out I could get VERY close, like just 1200 short or so and with another payout due in a few hours, I could reach the goal before going to bed. WOOHOO! So I pulled the trigger and spent the remaining Hive to buy PIMP and later add the final bit to reach the 100k I desired for this year.

First 20 PIMP tip

I was so happy throwing that first 4th tip of the day that I had to capture that as well, @thebighigg is the lucky receiver of my first 20 PIMP tip. And of course, I am too because if you tip someone with PIMP, the tipper receives this amount staked as well, that's one of the reasons why PIMP is amazing!

Discord role

As there are just a few with 100k+ PIMP staked, I was very pleased to be upgraded to the Golden Chalice PIMP role in Discord:

Now if we connect often, here's a little tip from me to you: use the PIMP tag if you like to build your own stake a bit faster because my votes will contribute to get you to your goal faster. And who knows, I might throw in a tip here and there as well..

Hive Power

Another important stake to look at is my Hive Power stake. I don't know where I was last time but I just passed the 7000 HP a few days ago and I'm feeling that the 10000 HP is within reach. I'm happy that I'm leasing some extra HP which gives me some nice curation rewards as long as I'm able to curate every day. For now I will keep doing that as it's a nice way of throwing some higher votes around without getting below a certain Voting Power percentage.

It's funny as I think I reached this milestone at the same day as the 100000 PIMP goal: March 25 2024.

HSBI Shares

Now I'm not 100% sure if I already shared reaching the 1000 HSBI shares goal in another post, if so, apologies, but either way, I will share a screenshot of the exact status today which is:

1104 Units, woohoo! I'm so happy with this because recently @josephsavage was able to move the shares from my abandoned Steem account to this one and I had a few days of really nice worthy votes from the balanced that wasn't used in years. I started building back my shares when I found out I still had access to my old account on Hive (I thought I was locked out, so that was a nice surprise) and when I discovered I could also still access the Steem account, I couldn't wait to repeat this process and add these 100+ shares to this account.

There were some issues with the transactions, so this took a bit longer but that's ok, I'm very grateful that I was able to receive them here and now I've passed my second goal which was 1000 shares. And with that, I'm already at 10% towards the next goal of 2000 HSBI shares and working my way up to 5000 which I hope to reach by the end of the year.

For now it means I get a 15/20 cent vote each post more or less, it depends how many posts I publish. I'm already really happy with where I'm at right now. I'm sure 5000 will be doable for EOY.

Sharing is caring

Lately, I've been feeling lots of great vibes on the Hive platform thanks to meeting new (to me) members in the Silver Gold Stackers community, and I've been inspired by them to start giving away HSBI shares, which has been great fun and also rewarding for my own stake.

But I would also like to point out that I'm extremely grateful for the support of @freecompliments who has been a positive influence on the chain trying to create jobs for Hive users and rewarding them with votes as well as HSBI shares. I've already been lucky to receive quite a bit of HSBI shares from creating content in the Freecompliments community and if you haven't checked it out, I highly recommend you to do so. Not for the shares but for the positive vibes and community he's trying to build.

Other tipping tokens

I sold my BBH because I felt like going crazy with different tipping tokens so instead I will build my LOH tokens because I see more and more ladies appear on my content and I'd like to support them back by handing out a tip that's coming from a community of ladies who are very supportive to each other and therefore I feel like I should up that stake to have more tips available every day.

And this is a very cheap token which I just use to show my support with some tiny LUV and for all this time I just had 1 tip available a day, while actually needing some more most days. This is truly a very small token of appreciation but it feels good to hand out this one, more for the gesture than the value.. I noticed I could go from 1 to 10 Luv tips a day for a tiny price to pay, therefore I pulled that trigger to get it over with:

As you can see, it's easy to buy into that one and I guess most will not have it for the value therefore it will remain this one time mention as now I have 10 tips a day.

The other tipping token I kept is Pizza.. I know nothing about the status of this project, only that once they were really busy building stuff. Either way, I've been given and handing out some Pizza slices and this is where I'm at currently:

Also not worth mentioning to be fair but for me it's nice to look back in a year or so if it's still worth pennies or grew in value and I will just leave it the way it is until I found out if the project is still active or not.

HBD Update

As my HBD savings report will not appear this month, here's a little update about that topic. I'm waiting for my 180 HBD to get out of savings and will move these to sell for fiat soon because of the very expensive passport trip coming up in the next month.

This will hopefully be the last time for a while that I will have to take out my savings. I will not set any new goal for this year until some other stuff has been cleared and behind us. Until then, I'm just very grateful that HBD will make it possible for me to have a bit of fun in Madrid while being there fore something mandatory.

I'm still not sure about our plans for the trip at this moment, but I'm really hoping we can create some really fun memories while doing the necessary things in these few days on the other side of the country.
