Yeah if you want you can try to play the sell the top and buy the dip game, and sometimes I do that with coins like Algo because of how the value plays out, Tezos as well. However with like Pirate chain or ethereum I am just holding. You really have to watch the markets and the trends, if a coin hits a new all time high, it will likely correct shortly after about 30% in some cases so, if you want you can play that game but you may miss the most parabolic gains by selling early, I rather just be patient mostly and wait for the really big gains over years.

So what percent returns do you aim for with your long hodl for profit's, say ETH and BTC? Both have their problems and probably won't last forever. What would make you dump your portfolio market-wise other than a financial emergency? It's hard to convince me to flip stake coins (algo/tezos) because of the passive income staking returns (even though it's much less income than flipping, it's steady and feels "safe").
