The Training Process

In Wrestling Organization Online, training your wrestlers is essential for their development. As you acquire multiple versions of the same wrestler, you can utilize them to enhance their abilities and unlock new moves. Let's dive into the mechanics of wrestler training:

  1. Stat Progression: As your wrestlers level up through the fusion process described in the previous article, their base stats, such as speed, damage, and health, will naturally improve. This progression allows your wrestlers to become more formidable competitors inside the ring.

  2. Move Evolution: A fascinating aspect of wrestler evolution is the evolution of their moves. As wrestlers gain experience and training, their moves can evolve, unlock new abilities, and even change their move types. For example, a standard move may transform into a submission move, allowing your wrestler to showcase their versatility and surprise opponents with new tactics.

Move Evolution Explained

Wrestlers' moves are essential to winning matches as they are keys to winning condition checks. What we mean by this is under normal match rules, moves will have to be either pinfalls, submissions, or a finisher variation before a player can win the match. You must pin or submit the opponent, and not every move falls into that category.

Below is a list of move types:

  1. Normal Moves - Does normal damage. No win condition.
  2. Pinfall Moves - Does normal damage. Pinfall mechanics.
  3. Submission Moves - Does normal damage. Submission/breakout mechanics.
  4. Finishing Moves - Does 2x damage. Pinfall mechanics.
  5. Submission Finishing Moves - Does 2x damage. Submission/breakout mechanics.

Win Condition Mechanics Explained

We will now discuss how Pinfall, Submission, and Finishing variations can help you achieve the win!

Pinfall:

Pinfall moves are a type of move that attempts a pin after the move
connects and damage/resistance is accounted for. The success of the pin attempt is determined by the defending player's health.

■ If a player has 0 health, there is a 99% chance they will
be pinned when an opponent connects with a pin move.

■ If a player has 1 health, there is a 75% chance they will
be pinned when an opponent connects with a pin move.

■ If a player has 2 health, there is a 50% chance they will
be pinned when an opponent connects with a pin move.

■ If a player has 3 health, there is a 25% chance they will
be pinned when an opponent connects with a pin move.

■ If a player has 4+ health, there is a 1% chance they will
be pinned when an opponent connects with a pin move.

Submission

Submission moves are a type of move that works a little differently. We will take a moment and clarify those differences.

○ Submission moves do damage, then check if the opponent taps out and
then apply submission status to the opponent.

○ If any player has submission status at the start of their turn, then
they must attempt to break out. If successful, then they attack. If
not, they lose their turn.

○ Submission moves attempt a submission after the move
connects and damage/resistance is accounted for and will
attempt to tap an opponent out. A submission status will be
added to a defender if the submission connects.

Tap out mechanics

■ If a player has 0 health, there is a 99% chance they will
tap out when an opponent connects with a submission
move.

■ If a player has 1 health, there is a 75% chance they will
tap out when an opponent connects with a submission
move.

■ If a player has 2 health, there is a 50% chance they will
tap out when an opponent connects with a submission
move.

■ If a player has 3 health, there is a 25% chance they will
tap out when an opponent connects with a submission
move.

■ If a player has 4+ health, there is a 1% chance they will
tap out when an opponent connects with a submission
move.

Break out mechanics

A breakout must be attempted by a player with the submission status at the start of their turn. If it's successful, then the player can attack normally. If it's unsuccessful, they cannot attack. If a breakout is unsuccessful, the player doing the submission move will continue doing the same submission move by applying damage and checking for tap-out as normal. Once a breakout is successful, the submission move will end, and players will attack with their next move as normal. If you do not break out, it isn't the same as missing a move. If a breakout is unsuccessful, it doesn't reset your move order.

Breakouts are determined by the defending player's health, as shown below:

■ If the player has submission status and
health = 0, then 1% chance of a breakout.

■ If the player has submission status and health = 1, then 25%
chance of a breakout.

■ If the player has submission status and health = 2, then
50% chance of a breakout.

■ If the player has submission status and health = 3, or more
then 75% chance of a breakout

Finisher

Finishing moves are a type of move that does 2x damage and attempts a pin after the move connects and damage/resistance is accounted for. The success of the pin attempt is determined by the defending player's health, as mentioned above.

Submission Finisher

Submission Finishing moves are a type of move that does 2x damage and attempts a submission after the move connects and damage/resistance is accounted for. The success of the submission/breakout attempt is determined by the defending player's health, as mentioned above.

Adaptation and Versatility

The evolution of wrestlers in Wrestling Organization Online brings about an exciting dynamic – the ability to adapt and be versatile in the ring. Here are a few key points to consider:

  1. Strategic Selection: As your wrestlers evolve, you'll have the chance to reevaluate their position in your roster. As they evolve and their moves change, and their cost reduces, you may be more apt to use them.

  2. Specialization vs. Versatility: Wrestlers can follow different paths in their evolution. Some may specialize in a specific move type, becoming masters of a particular wrestling style. Others may choose a more versatile approach, maintaining a diverse move set that caters to various in-ring situations. The choice is yours, and it's crucial to align with your organization's overall strategy.

  3. Adapting to Opponents: By carefully monitoring your opponents and their wrestling styles, you can adapt your wrestler's moves and stats accordingly. Identifying their weaknesses and countering their strengths can give you a significant advantage in the ring. Remember, the key to success lies not only in your wrestler's evolution but also in your ability to strategize and adapt.

WOO!

There will most certainly be a request from the community to see a chart of who gets what moves and at what level so they can figure out how many cards they need to buy to level up their talent. Will there be something to explain what is being gained and how many more card will be needed to get a card to its next level? #woogame
