Hey all. I hope you all are fine and enjoying your weekends. Today, I am going to talk about the fairly romantic version of myself. I have been in a relationship for more than 5 years now and that is enough to understand your partner.
Planning a romantic date can be an exciting and nerve-wracking experience. There are so many things to consider, from the location to the activities, to the atmosphere and the ambiance. However, with a little creativity and thoughtfulness, you can plan a date that will sweep your significant other off their feet.
This photo was taken by her.
It was back in 2021 when I was in the final year of my University. For my own romantic date, I decided to plan a picnic at Hawksbay beach in Karachi. My partner loves spending time outdoors, along the beachside with water touching her feet and I knew that this would be a perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy each other's company. I packed a basket with some of our favorite snacks, including cheese, and fruit.
This is some other place BTW. Trying to relate it.
To set the mood, I brought along a portable speaker and played some soft, romantic music. I also brought a blanket and some pillows to make the picnic area more comfortable. I wanted to create a cozy atmosphere where we could relax and unwind.
After we finished our meal, we took a walk around the sea shore, enjoying the scenery and the fresh air. We talked about our favorite memories and shared stories from our childhood. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect on a deeper level and get to know each other even better. It is still the best moments in my life, holding her hand in mine and looking at the sun setting. It was a pure bliss and travelling 150 kilometers was totally worth it.
As the sun began to set, we headed back to the hut that we had booked, where I had set up some candles and string lights to create a warm, romantic ambiance.
I cannot post our pictures that we had taken that day because of privacy concerns. But, this entire thing was well and gladly received by her. She kept smiling and held my hand all time when we were heading back to our hostels.
We have been living in a long distance relationship since we graduated and that has kinda made things rough for both of us. This beautiful memory has helped me to value her even more. Thanks @galenkp for such a beautiful topic.
Ps. The pictures are mine.
