This week was not my favorite. And yet it was. I feel like I got everything and nothing done, like I'm in a limbo. Lily is with her mom, who moved here to Cotacachi, spending time together before we go to Germany for a month (just Lily and I). That messed with my routines - and yet I was incredibly productive. Got most of my business chores done. Pumped like a king in the gym. Had some great conversations with friends.
Yeah, she doesn't want to cause me any trouble and she doesn't - in a way, children are teachers of stoicism. A weird kind. Because it's not only about changing one's attitude and receptiveness towards the world, but also building theirs. A child might be the only point in life where stoicism is a bad idea. Because we have to be pro-active. We have to change them. The whole "upbringing" thing is change, over and over again, until they're ready to go out and capable to see their flaws and change on their own.
Utopia.
I know. Don't care. I make my dent in the world. Replace "we" with "I", and we're good. You don't have to follow my lead, nor does anyone. In my view, the world would be better if it did, but I'll leave that to Lily. She'll rule y'all.
Dan came today, he's a great solo guitarist. Dave is a great rhythm guitarist. Last week, we played this song, Dave and I, looked at each other and said "We need Dan." Played it today, and it was awesome.
Tomorrow is going to be awesome. I'm going to be a model. Well, something like that. Since the death of the owner, the clothing company my girlfriend works at (It's super awesome, this is the website, she's the main model) has been under new management - my gf and her brother. They're doing an amazing job (yes I'm biased but I LOVE the new designs), and drummed together a band of friends to dress up and model. This is the runway:

Hell yeah! I'm so in for this! They're downstairs right now, planning the last aspects. Unfortunately, they're smoking, and I'm sensible today - I have days that I don't care, and days that I can't stand it. No idea why. Today is the "Nope, I'm outta here" day. So I'm in my room writing and listening to one for my favorite postcore (?) bands:
This album is one of my favorites of all times, hence I left the link as full album. I changed the song 3 times. First, I wanted to put "The after dinner payback". But the it switched to "Lilacs & Lolitas", which is an even better song. But then came "Milligram Smile", I mean, yeah. I finally kept it at "No Trivia", although the next one, "The Second Wrong Makes You Feel Right" is fantastic, too. But the understandable part of that songs lyrics makes for a different kind of post.
While editing this post, the album went on and I changed my mind again. Yes, Alive out of Habit is the best song on the album.
Still editing, doubting again. "All I Taste Today Is What's Her Name" is another awesome song. Do you have an album that you can't make up your mind about the best song?
I know, not everyone's taste, but I could imagine that @holoz0r might like it. And that kind of music keeps me awake. Still some things left to do. Always.
Have a good night/day/morning/nirvana.

Yeah that's me.
I think it's a worthy shot to aim at, the "best" kind of changes tends to come from acknowledging and confronting our own shortcomings and then decide to do something about them.
I'm a bit too young to relate with much of the songs from the pre-modern era lol. But the music form the second one does have a nostalgic feel about a life not fully lived and reminiscing on the good old days :)
Yeah most of those songs were way before my time. I still enjoy them so much. It was one of the eras where new music was created, and afterwards, everything became just a spin off. Great spin offs, and there were some really new sounds like Arctic Monkeys, but it got hard to find those.
I can't listen right now but maybe I will later. I definitely think purple rain is one of those songs you think you're bored of then you listen and it makes you want to belt out the tune at the top of your lungs in a really dramatic way. Oh, seeing your fashion choices on Snaps, I can so see you in a purple velvet suit...
And that runway is magical...
Uuuuuh purple velvet. Hadn't thought about that but I could probably pull that off. Not sure my GF would let me, though...
